June is a time of visibility and celebration. During Pride Month, the Gun Lake Tribe honors the strength, identity and lived experiences of our LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit relatives.

Our values as a community center on respect, belonging and caring for one another. We believe every person deserves to live openly and authentically and we are committed to fostering spaces where all feel safe, supported and valued.

Indigenous communities have long recognized the significance of Two-Spirit people, individuals who carry unique gifts and perspectives that enrich our people. We acknowledge this history with respect and continue working to uplift Two-Spirit and LGBTQ+ voices today.

Pride is also a reminder of the work that remains. Together, we stand in solidarity to challenge inequities, promote understanding and ensure that future generations inherit a community rooted in acceptance and dignity.
