If you’ve ever been through the doors of our downtown Y, you’ve met Rodney. The world’s most welcoming and genuinely kind person.
For 21 years, Rodney has been integral to our team and to all of you - saying good morning, asking questions, and remembering details. We are absolutely overjoyed that he was chosen to share just a small piece of his story to over 4,000 people at the General Assembly of YMCAs this week in New Orleans.
We’ll share the video with you all soon, but for now, we just want to thank all of the members who have stopped at Rodney’s desk over the years. You are the reason that Rodney’s words are true: “In our Y, we laugh, cry, hug, encourage each other, and give lots of ‘I love you’s.’ When you put yourself out there to love on other people, you get it back a hundredfold. I’m the proof.”
