Big news for Grandville youth football!

Lil’ Dawgs Rocket Football - A New Era for Youth Football Begins This Fall

Grandville Community Ed is proud to announce an exciting new chapter for its youth football program. Beginning this fall, the Rocket Football program for 3rd - 6th graders will officially relaunch as Lil’ Dawgs Rocket Football, bringing renewed energy, vision, and leadership to the field.

At the helm of this exciting transformation is the newly appointed Director of Rocket Football, Amy Taylor. Amy steps into the role with a strong commitment to building a structured, development-focused program that prepares young athletes not just to compete - but to grow, learn, and thrive both on and off the field.

Grandville High School Varsity Football Head Coach Eric Stiegel will be actively involved in the program’s growth and direction. His leadership ensures alignment between youth and high school football, helping establish consistent standards, skill development, and a shared vision for excellence across all levels. This connection creates a clear pathway for young athletes as they advance through the Grandville Football program.

Grandville native and experienced coach Ryan “Bubba” Gritter will also play an integral role in mentoring coaches and developing teams, reinforcing the program’s foundation through purposeful training, leadership guidance, and athlete development.

Together, this leadership team is committed to elevating Lil’ Dawgs Rocket Football to new heights - emphasizing fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a culture that reflects the pride of the Grandville community.

Lil’ Dawgs Rocket Football will focus on:

-Strong fundamental skill development

-Character and leadership building

-Alignment with high school program standards

-A positive, competitive, and community-centered football experience

The future is bright for Grandville’s youngest athletes, and this fall marks the beginning of something special.

Stay tuned for more details about registration, season dates, and upcoming events.
