Wishing #15 WR MALIK MANUEL a very HaPpY BiRthDAy!!!🥳🥳In his second year with the Nightmare Malik proved himself as a complete offensive threat. Coming off a huge season and voted on by his teammates as Receiver of the Year AND Offensive MVP, Malik proved exactly what kind of player he is. One of the kindest, most genuine guys you’ll meet off the field—but once he steps between those lines, he turns into an absolute ANIMAL. Malik stepped up huge in multiple games this past season, including the Championship Game, in which he converted multiple receptions in the final drive of the game, ultimately leading to the go ahead score to seal the game. Talented, tough, competitive, and dependable and ALWAYS ready to make a play!!

We’re proud to have Malik representing the Nightmare Standard and can’t wait to see what year three brings! Wishing you the VERY BEST and looking forward to more greatness 15!!! 🥳🏴‍☠️💪

#62 OL Andy Cribbs 🏴‍☠️

Cribbs came to the Nightmare after a heartbreaking CFC championship loss in 2021 believing he could help Nightmare Football do something special—and he absolutely did. A dominant player, a leader, one of the hardest workers on the field, and the kind of teammate every team needs. He played a huge role in our championship success in 2024 and 2025. Cribbs hung up his cleats after the Back-to-Back championship win in ‘25 and is so greatly missed!!

Andy Cribbs was exactly what coaches want in an offensive lineman: dependable, physical, disciplined, and willing to finish every play.

Cribbs joined the Northern Colorado Nightmare in 2022 and immediately became one of the anchors of the offensive line. Over four seasons from 2022 through 2025, he was named the Nightmare Offensive Lineman of the Year all four years and served as a team captain all four seasons.

That consistency says a lot about how he was viewed inside the organization. Cribbs was not just productive. He was trusted.

He played through the whistle, brought a physical edge every snap, and made a habit of putting defenders on the ground. Around the Nightmare, he became known as the "Grim Reaper" of the offensive line because of the way he finished blocks and imposed himself physically on defenders.

What made him especially valuable was how rarely he got beat.

Cribbs was technically sound, strong at the point of attack, and reliable in both protection and the run game. He made the kind of impact that often goes unnoticed outside the offensive line room, but coaches and teammates understood exactly how important he was.

His individual recognition matched that impact. Cribbs earned CFL Offensive Lineman of the Year twice during his four-year run. During the CFC seasons, the league did not present individual awards, and he was not part of a league during years when All-Star selections were held, so his resume should be judged by the honors that were actually available to him.

And when team success followed, Cribbs was right in the middle of it.

The Nightmare won back-to-back CFL championships in 2024 and 2025, with Cribbs helping set the tone up front as one of the team's captains and most dependable linemen.

Four seasons. Four team Offensive Lineman of the Year awards. Four years as captain. Two CFL Offensive Lineman of the Year awards. Two CFL championships.

Andy Cribbs was not flashy. He was something better for an offensive line. He was reliable, physical, hard to beat, and relentless until the whistle. That is why he was a coach's dream and one of the defining offensive linemen of the Nightmare's championship run

It is with broken hearts that we share the very unexpected passing of Dakota Boyd. Tuesday, Sept 9th, 2026, the Nightmare family lost one of our own.

Dakota Boyd was there from the very beginning, Fall 2016. Together, with Founder, Trent Fahrenbruch, the two conceptualized an idea of a dominate football organization, that not only would be successful via championships, but be a place for men to come together, to feel cared for, to be a family, and to give back to our local community. He helped build the Northern Colorado Nightmare, helped sustain it, and gave so much of himself to this organization—as a player, a coach, an athletic trainer, and most importantly, as family.

Dakota was a dominate player 2017-2021, both as a defensive back, and later as a running back on the offensive side of the ball, proving that he would do whatever the team needed of him. He loved defense but seemed to shine when he found himself in the endzone with his famous, "Mile High Salute". Dakota's signature go-to on game day, always had a patriotic flair. Dakota transitioned into a coaching role in the second half of his career with the Nightmare. He loved the Nightmare, every player, and staff member, and always gave all he had where ever needed. He repped the Nightmare always, and was so proud of everything it had become. Team mates quickly became brothers, and for a guy with minimal family those bonds meant the world. Funny, spunky and always up for a good time, you were sure to love Dakota upon introduction.

There are people who become part of a team, and there are people who become part of its foundation. Dakota was part of our foundation.

His impact on Nightmare Football cannot be measured by seasons, games, or titles. It lives in what he helped create and in the people whose lives he touched along the way.

Dakota’s legacy will forever be a part of the Northern Colorado Nightmare.

Rest easy, 24. You will never be forgotten.l

Coach Robert Bundy

Defensive Coordinator | Assistant Head Coach | Offensive Line Coach

Coach Robert Bundy's football story is built around one thing more than anything else: teaching the game the right way.

Bundy has earned a reputation as one of Colorado football's most respected defensive minds, but his impact goes far beyond schemes and statistics. Players respond to him because he knows how to teach. He can take complex football concepts, break them down, and make them understandable. His football IQ is high, but what separates him is his ability to pass that knowledge on to others.

Bundy's semi-pro coaching career began with the Pueblo Steel, where he served as defensive coordinator from 2010 through 2015. Those years helped establish him as a coach who could organize a defense, develop players, and prepare teams to compete at a high level.

In 2016, Bundy joined the Steel City Rage as defensive coordinator. The Rage reached the championship game that season, falling to the Colorado Greyhawks. Bundy remained with the organization through 2019, continuing to serve as the defensive coordinator and becoming one of the most important voices on the staff.

After the 2020 season was lost to COVID, Bundy returned in 2021 and took on even more responsibility. He served as head coach for most of the season before moving to Loveland about three-quarters of the way through the year. At that point, he turned the head coaching duties back over to Casias but remained heavily involved as the defensive coordinator and offensive line coach.

The result was a championship season. Steel City Rage defeated the Northern Colorado Nightmare to win the 2021 championship and also captured the Rocky Mountain Bowl. For Bundy, it was the reward for years of building, teaching, and staying committed to the process.

In 2023, Bundy joined the Rocky Mountain Phoenix as Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Line Coach, showing once again that his knowledge was not limited to one side of the football.

Then came another major chapter in 2026. Bundy became the defensive coordinator for the Northern Colorado Nightmare, and the results were dominant. The Nightmare defeated the Colorado Springs Flames in the championship and finished the season allowing just 65 total points, an average of 6.7 points per game.

The defense did not allow a 100-yard rusher. It did not allow a 200-yard passer. Compared with the Nightmare's 2025 championship team, the 2026 defense tripled its turnovers.

Those numbers show just how complete the unit became under Bundy. It was not simply a defense that played hard. It was disciplined, prepared, opportunistic, and difficult to solve.

That is where Bundy's greatest strength shows up. He understands football at a high level, but he also understands players.

He has coached at Pueblo County High School, Pueblo East High School, Pueblo West High School, and currently Loveland High School. While those programs have not won a championship during his time there, Bundy has helped teams reach multiple semifinal appearances and has built a reputation as a coach who gives back and invests in young athletes.

Players love playing for him because he teaches rather than simply demands. He explains. He develops. He challenges players while helping them understand why something works. And he has the ability to coach almost anyone willing to learn.

Bundy's legacy is not limited to championship rings or defensive statistics. It is found in the players who became smarter because he coached them, the assistants who learned from him, and the programs that became better because he was part of them.

From Pueblo Steel to Steel City Rage, Rocky Mountain Phoenix, Northern Colorado Nightmare, and multiple high school programs, Coach Robert Bundy has built his reputation through knowledge, preparation, player development, and a genuine commitment to giving back to the game.

He is not simply a coach who knows football. He is a teacher of football.

His poise, decision-making, and ability to lead the offensive unit made him a steady force throughout the season. Presented to D'Heaven Domena who is a phenomenal athlete and a powerful runner who brings toughness and determination every time he touches the ball. His dedication, physical style, and ability to make plays made him a major piece of the Nightmare offense.

Presented to Zach Moser who was everywhere on the field all season long — physical, relentless, and constantly around the football. Averaging 10 plus solo tackles per game, he set the tone with his play and backed it up with leadership.

Presented to Quan Southward whose talent in the secondary showed all season long. He made quarterbacks work for everything and didn’t allow much to get behind him. His athleticism, instincts, and ability to shut down the back end made him a huge piece of the Nightmare defense.

Presented to Stevie Linton who in his rookie year with the Nightmare, Stevie showed exactly why his future is so bright. He stepped in, competed hard, never backed down, and proved he belonged. He became a threat on a dominating front five core unit.
His confidence, toughness, and natural ability stood out all season long.

RISING STAR- DB LANE PUTNAM #25
Presented to Lane Putnam who made a huge jump from last season. He earned his way into a starting role and showed from the very beginning that he was ready for it. Thrown into the fire in Week One against some seriously talented receivers, Lane stepped up and came away with a huge interception — setting the tone for what was to come. Lane’s growth this season was earned, and his future is bright.

Presented to Ian Tappin who truly embodies what it means to never give up. No matter the challenge, he keeps working, keeps learning, and keeps pushing himself to get better. His dedication, determination, and willingness to keep fighting never go unnoticed.

Presented to Cory Viscosi who brought the kind of energy you could feel every time he stepped on the field. He delivered bone-crushing hits, played with intensity, and made opposing players think twice. When Cory arrived, you knew it.

Presented to Isaiah Singleon who brought the swag every game day. Within the black, white, and gold dress code, he always found a way to make the look his own with the right accessories, details, and game-day style. From head to toe, he stayed clean, coordinated, and ready to play — proving you can follow the standard and still bring plenty of personality to the field. He understood the assignment every time.

SPIRIT AWARD- DB COACH JORDAN MARQUEZ
Presented to Coach Jordan who brought an energy to this team that was absolutely contagious. His knowledge of the game helped take our DBs to another level, but what stood out just as much was how invested he was in every one of their successes. Every big hit, every breakup, every interception — Coach Jordan celebrated right along with them. His excitement, enthusiasm, and genuine happiness to be part of Nightmare Football could be felt every time he stepped on the field. He coached them hard, celebrated them louder, and made the entire unit better.

CLASS CLOWN- DL TARIQ YOUNG #58
Presented to Tariq Young whose huge sense of humor and personality brought plenty of laughs to the team all season long. He knows how to keep things light, make people smile, and bring energy to the locker room and sidelines. Well liked by his teammates and always ready with a joke, Tariq definitely earned this one!

BALL BOY MVP- LEONARD
Presented to our boy Leonard who has been a part of our sidelines for three seasons now, and he continues to do an awesome job every single year. Dependable, hardworking, and always willing to help wherever he’s needed, Leonard has become a familiar and important part of Nightmare game days. More than anything, he’s a great young man and we're lucky to have him a part of this team.
