She designed this original stitch for her new granddaughter Wren. It’s so beautiful! She didn’t want it to be too large, so it would always have a place in her life no matter the spaces available in the future. We went with a natural wood frame with a pretty carved pattern making it gentle and feminine for a little girl. Such a personal gift from grandma.

I have framed this artist’s works before, it’s Sister Golden out of Door County. She uses all items gathered from nature to create natural images. We used a rustic weathered look frame with soft green mats to continue the feel of nature. Love her work! Visit her website here:

This is a lovely little print. She always chooses light toned frames and mats when framing her art, so peaceful and clean. There are other ways we could have gone, brought out the depth with the black for example, but that’s what custom framing means, you get what you want with many options to choose from. This beautiful hardanger was stitched by a member of our Embroiders Guild of America, after her passing it was given to the guild to be put in the silent auction at our bi-annual show. The woman who won the bidding was so happy and wanted to preserve this exceptional work. It’s a large piece so we kept the framing subtle with a single fabric mat below, museum glass and narrow carved frame. I stitched the art to the mat fully around the perimeter, allowing for future removal if desired.

Her husband loved biking, doing many long races in the state and around the country. He even designed this bike shirt. She wanted to frame his biking history for her sons, bringing several items to be included with each. Having photos allows his memories to live on and keep him close.

This is from many years ago, but I wanted to share again. My customer traveled all over the world and always brought back art as a memory of her adventures. We framed this pair in a rich fabric mat and a frame that matched the aged look of the art. She has moved away and I miss hearing about all her travels.

This sweet little stitch was done as a wedding present. She chose one of the new frames that has a double bead, it really dresses up the special piece and makes it feel important. I’m looking forward to using this frame on other works!

With this being America’s 250th birthday, I’m expecting to see a lot of patriotic stitching this year. Every row of this is a different style of stitch design, zoom in to see the details of each. The frame choice was easy, stars!!

This young woman was in Australia on New Year’s Eve and saw the fireworks in person! She bought this small print as a memory of that night. We kept it simple but chose a shimmery frame to mimic the sparkle of the fireworks. This will be a forever memory.

A reminder of the event coming up Thursday evening, then all day Friday and Saturday. Hopefully the snow will be plowed out in time and everything will go on as planned!
