Pitching Impressive As Bay Port Varsity Pirates Beat Kaukauna Varsity Ghosts

Both teams were strong on the hill on Monday, but Bay Port Varsity Pirates defeated Kaukauna Varsity Ghosts 1-0. Jake Olson started the game for Bay Port Varsity Pirates and recorded 21 outs.

Bay Port Varsity Pirates got on the board in the third inning after Beau Jensen singled, scoring one run.

Olson earned the win for Bay Port Varsity Pirates. The hurler gave up five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking none. Carson Gates took the loss for Kaukauna Varsity Ghosts. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering one run on six hits, striking out 10 and walking two.

Jensen led Bay Port Varsity Pirates with one run batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Bay Port Varsity Pirates didn't commit a single error in the field. Drew Bruckner had the most chances in the field with nine.

Drew Luckow and Zander Leick each collected two hits for Kaukauna Varsity Ghosts. Kaukauna Varsity Ghosts were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Bryce Urban made the most plays with 10.
