GREENSBORO SHOWS OUT IN TEXAS 🔥👨🏻🚒
Last week, your Greensboro firefighter challenge team traveled to Texas to compete in the World Championship for the to compete against fellow firefighters from across the globe.
After a long week of solos, tandems, and relays, here’s the final outcome…
Christian McClean - 18th overall, 9th overall in his age category, and just the SECOND in team history to run a solo in sub 90 seconds. INSANE!
Brian Newsome - 24th overall in his age category in his final competition in Greensboro. We wish him the best as he moves to Miami. We hope to see him on the course again in the future!
TEAM CAPTAIN Andy Weldon - 15th in his age category. Continues to be the workhorse at the end of the relay for the team as the anchor.
Captain Bruce Fields - 1ST PLACE IN 50+ hybrid relay! A WORLD CHAMPION! 🔥

Christian made it to individual finals at Worlds at put up a solid time after a long week of running. Good enough for 11th in the world in one of the hardest age groups. We are beyond proud of Christian and excited to see what the future has in store for him.

Christian McLean laid down a solid 1:34 today at the Firefighter Challenge Series World Championship qualifying round. Keep an eye on him as the week continues!
Andy Weldon and Brian Newsome went head to head today in the first day of the Firefighter Challeneg League World Championship qualifying round. Brian edged out Andy by a split second but a hose placement penalty on the top of the tower gave Andy the win.
