Was a good opening day of rifle in western Pa WMU 2C for our Dust Off Team - 2 junior hunters with a spike and a 3 point and as we were teaching 1 how to gut his first deer and the importance of remaining quiet and attentive, a nice 10 point chased a doe nearby

Well no bear this season, but our group did have a cool encounter with a beautiful bull elk!

November 14 - mid-day hunt in 2C Westmoreland County. I have been on this 10-point buck for approximately a week and finally harvested it at 44 yards, with the buck traveling 30 yards before collapsing. Special thanks to Dust Off Member Brenton Piper for the assist in recovery.
