BIG MIKE IS BACK IN THE OFFICE THANKS TO JOHN!! 🥹🤩A favorite of all ages, even the older teens, the OG Big Mike deflated a few weeks ago and is out of stock everywhere. Even tried ordering one from a store in Kentucky. Buuuut my husband is amazing and got TWO from a seller he found online. I love him so much. The return of Big Mike is going to be a huge deal.

Spent Saturday morning talking about ADHD, executive function, consistency, and realistic summer systems with local parents. 💛

One of the biggest reminders today:
Kids with ADHD don’t just “grow out of” executive function challenges over the summer. The brain needs repetition, structure, support, and practice.

Really grateful for the thoughtful conversations and questions today.

Fresh additions to the fidget basket ✨

New NeeDoh fuzz balls and cool cats, plus some fun squishies, have officially entered the office. The funny thing is…these are loved by literally every age group that walks through the door. Kids, teens, college students…even the coaches. 😂

We can neither confirm nor deny that a sugar squish may have mysteriously disappeared straight into Danielle’s desk.

There’s just something about having tactile tools nearby that helps the brain settle, focus, regulate, and reset a little easier. Plus they’re just plain fun.

Behavior is often communication.

For many kids with ADHD, what looks like resistance, shutdown, arguing, or big emotions may actually be overwhelm showing up on the outside.

When we pause and ask, “What is this behavior trying to tell me?” we can respond with more support, more strategy, and less frustration.

That shift can change the whole tone at home.

Carolina ADHD Coaching supports families in Greenville, Upstate SC, and virtually across the United States.

Executive function is what helps kids and teens plan, getting started, stay organized, manage time, and follow through.

When those skills are weak, everyday life can feel harder than it should — forgotten homework, constant reminders, overwhelm, and unfinished tasks.

That does not mean a child is lazy or unmotivated. It often means they need better support, better tools, and strategies that fit how their brain works.

At Carolina ADHD Coaching, we help students build real-life executive function skills like organization, planning, time management, task initiation, and follow-through so school and home life can feel more manageable.

Save this post for later, and share it with a parent who needs this reminder.

Nailed it. 😂

Essay due tomorrow? Untouched.

Bedroom reorganized? Spotless.

Rubik's cube skills? Surprisingly elite.

Sock situation from 2023? Finally resolved.

The ADHD brain didn't work today. It worked incredibly hard on everything except the thing it was supposed to do. 😄

Honestly? Respect the commitment.

👇 Tag your student. Or don't — they'll see it anyway because they're definitely on their phone instead of doing homework. 😂

The ADHD tax isn't just about money. For student's it's time, energy, and confidence.

Every day adds up. The lost assignments. The late starts. The exhausting mental effort just to do what looks "simple" to everyone else.

It's not a discipline problem. It's an executive function problem.

And the good news? Executive function skills can actually be built. 💙
