Hockey team hosts fundraiser for Greenville officer injured in fiery ambush Community members packed the arena to show support.

Greer and the Upstate of South Carolina delivered a resounding show of community support last night. We're thankful to all who attended, volunteered, and donated, and especially appreciative of the Charleston Enforcers Hockey Team dedication, traveling across the state to participate.

Thank you to all our donors and sponsers who donated for tonight's Hockey for Blue game against the Charleston Enforcers Hockey Team Doors open at 530 and puck drops at 630.

🏒 Ice for the Blue: Honoring Officer Gio Alberto
Join us on April 25, 2026 at 6:30 PM at The Ice Station of Greer for a special charity hockey game supporting a true hero.
On January 11, 2026, Greenville Police Officer Gio Alberto was critically injured in an ambush attack while sitting in his patrol car. Despite being targeted with deadly force, Officer Alberto survived and continues to recover—showing the strength, courage, and resilience that define our law enforcement community.
Now it’s our turn to stand behind him.
💙 This game is dedicated to honoring Officer Alberto and supporting him and his family.
💙 All proceeds will go toward assisting Officer Alberto during his recovery.
