Junior Woodmen Power Club

It is that time of year again!!! Junior Woodmen Power Club registration is open. We offer speed, strength and agility training to all youth athletes grades 1-6. We have seen a ton of success with this program and aim to improve it Year by year. We are hoping for our biggest year yet so please join us by registering your son or daughter today!! best more it is it is FREE!!!!!

Greenwood Wrestling Club rookie wrestlers cutting their teeth at the Perry Meridian Beginners Tournament. These guys did such a great job today and we are so proud of them. They stayed aggressive and there wasn’t one ounce of quit in any of them.

Sara W., now a 6th grader, is a great student, multi sport athlete, and phenomenal human being! She was nominated to play in the USSSA All-State Softball Tournament by her coaches! She is a Power Club OG and is a Young Woodmen that will make our world better!

Kobe C., a Southwest student is a great student in the classroom. Kobe is a multi sport athlete and Power Club OG. He made the LL All Star team this year while playing flag football. He gives his best at everything he does. Another great young Woodmen with a bright future!!

Derek M., a Westwood 2nd grader is a leader in the classroom. He is an avid baseball player and helped his LL team win their Division this year. He was a first year Power Club participant who meets all tasks with a smile and enthusiasm, a great young Woodmen!

Cole B., a Westwood 4th grader sets a great example in the classroom. He is a multi sport athlete and Power Club OG. This spring he helped his LL team win their division, played in the NFL flag league, and made the LL All Star team! He plays 🏈, ⚾️, and 🏀. A great young Woodmen!

Raylan T., is top notch in the school, is a multi sport athlete, and Power Club OG. Raylan is a future big man that has speed! He plays 🏈,🏀, and ⚾️. He recently made the LL All Star team and has a bright future! Another great young Woodmen!

Henry W., now a 6th grader is a leader in the classroom and on the field! He has a passion for football and is a Power Club OG. He is constantly trying to learn more and even helps with younger GBFL players!! True leadership and a great young Woodmen!

J.J. C., a Westwood student is a multi sport athlete and goes above and beyond in the classroom. J.J. plays travel baseball and is a very consistent pitcher. He gives everything he has with a smile on his face! Another great young Woodmen!

Logan N., an Isom 3rd grader is a tremendous student! He is a multi sport athlete and a Power Club OG. He is one the fastest kids around and always gives his best. He is a great young Woodmen!

Lukas N., now an Isom 5th grader, is a great student and multi sport athlete. He was selected to the LL All Star team and is a kid that works hard! He is a Power Club OG and great young Woodmen!! 👍🏈🏀⚾️

90% of the work must be done at home. If you want to see results YOU have to put the work in!

Grant K, a Westwood grad, is a phenomenal student and multi sport athlete. He received the Presidential Educational Excellence award! He made the GBFL All Star team last year and is a Power Club OG. Grant is working hard to improve his 🏀 game. Your hard work is appreciated!

Kensi K., a Westwood student, is top tier in the classroom! She is a multi sport athlete and her hard work and determination has earned her a spot on the 10U Lassie League All Star Team! She's a Power Club OG and tremendous young Lady Woodmen! 🥎🏀👍

EJ is a recent Southwest graduate. He is a great student and avid baseball player. He received multiple game balls this season for his hard work. He has decided to step out of his comfort zone and play football this year. We are proud of him for trying new things and willingness to join power club to become a stronger athlete!

Graham, a Westwood student, worked hard and answered the bell in the classroom with drive this year! He is a multi sport athlete and made the GLL All Star Team while playing flag football! He is a Power Club OG and a tremendous young Woodmen!!⚾️🏈🏀👍👍👍

Benjamin is a phenomenal Westwood student and multi sport athlete. He stepped outside his comfort zone to take on his first year of travel baseball this year and played flag football. He hit his first over the fence HR last weekend!! He is a Power Club OG and great young Woodmen!

Bryn, a recent Westwood Grad made the GMS Cheer Squad through her hard work and drive! She is a great student and owns the title “Quick Feet" on the speed ladder in PC. She is a Power Club OG and great young Woodmen!

This weeks home assignment: get outside!!!! Play whiffle ball, ride your bike, basketball, go swimming, go to the park, and limit the screen time.

A.J. , is a great student and multi sport athlete. He recently won the speed competition at a regional baseball camp competing against kids from all over the area! A.J. is a Power Club OG and great young Woodmen!

Power club will be held indoors tonight’s due to the high temps. Please meet in the Student Atuvity Center (SAC) at GHS at 6pm. We will begin promptly at 6 and end at 7pm. hope to see everyone there tonight!!

Team Spotlight

These Junior Woodmen from Westwood, Isom, and Southwest exude teamwork and effort when they are on the field and in the classroom. They went 5-1-1 this spring in the NFL flag football league. Almost all of them are Power Club participants.

Starting off with now 6th Grader, Alex M, a Westwood graduate, multi sport athlete, and phenomenal student! He hit his first ever over the fence HR in travel baseball this past weekend for the 11U Woodmen!!!!!

He is a Power Club OG, way to go Alex!!

Starting tomorrow the Power Club will be sharing some success stories of 2022 Power Club Participants! Please be on the lookout for these young Woodmen and tell them great job for all of their hard work and what they have accomplished!!!

Get out an move today the weather is beautiful for an outside workout!!!!!

Ask a parent to take you for a five minute jog. If you need to build endurance jog to every other mailbox.

This program is encouraged for any boy or girl entering grades 1-6 in the fall of 2022. The program will include a supplemental home workout. Please come out and have fun exercising and getting ready to prepare yourself for your upcoming fall sports or just moving your body.

This was a note that was written from a 5th grader today at Westwood Elementary to a 3rd grader at Westwood to help prepare for I Learn. Both of these kids are Power Club participants and young athletes in GBFL but more important they are good people!
