The Movements of Life!!
These are movements that we all should look to maintain. Walking, bracing, reaching overhead, squatting, hinging, and pushing and pulling with upper body. Each represents an aspect of function that allows us to do the things we want to do. Play sports, taking a long walk on vacation, or even picking up your kids and grandkids. Just like everything else in life, if you don't use it, you lose it. We will be exploring ways to preserve and improve each of these movements considering different injuries and ability levels. If there is something that you would like see addressed, please leave a comment below and we will be sure to bring it to you.

Today’s stretch is Seated Thoracic Extension.
• Sit up in a chair. Place your feet flat equal width apart. Clasp your hands behind your head. Keep your shoulders out to the side.
• With the back on your chair, roll your shoulders slowly over the top of the chair back.

Today’s stretch is Levator Scapulae Stretch.
Sitting up, raise an arm then reach over the back of your neck and apply downward pressure. Rotate the head about 45 degrees and tilt your chin down. You’ll feel a stretch on the back of the neck.

It’s Monday in Motion!!!
Today’s stretch is the Open Book Stretch:
• Lie on your side with knees bent at 90 degrees. Place arms and hands together. Follow your hand with your eyes, as you open your top arm and rotate as far as feels comfortable. Your bottom arm remains on the floor. You should feel a stretch in
your upper back, chest and shoulder.

•Hold for 5 seconds, 15 repetitions
