The Carolina Smokin’ Aces 14U Hayes squad begins fall open practices tomorrow, and we’re excited to see both returning and prospective players compete for roster spots.

We are specifically looking to fill a Pitcher/3B role and would love to connect with any dedicated 14U pitcher looking for a competitive team environment focused on player development and exposure.

Carolina Smokin’ Aces 14U Hayes may have fallen short in our first bracket game, but overall it was a great day of softball.

The girls battled their way to the #1 seed in Gold Bracket after pool play, allowing just 4 total runs and playing some very strong softball. We ultimately ran into an older showcase team in bracket play and came up short, but games like that are exactly what help us grow and prepare for what’s ahead.

We finished the day with a .492 team batting average and played some very locked-in defense behind our pitchers. A special congratulations goes out to Amariana Smith #18 for launching an over-the-fence homerun in our first pool game. What a moment and a testament to the hard work she continues to put in!

Most importantly, this group continues to compete, learn, and get better every time they step on the field.

The scoreboard didn’t end the way we wanted, but we’re proud of the fight, effort, and progress this team continues to show. Back to work. ♠️🔥

Also a huge shoutout to Raegan Tumblin #23 and Skyla Bennett #3 for absolutely dealing in the circle and combining for a dominant 14-0 shutout in our first pool game today! 🥎💪🏼

Offense was rolling, defense was locked in, and it was a complete team effort all around. Keep it going, girls! ❤️♠️
