I’ve always found that the best way to predict the future of custom motorcycle culture is to look at who is getting their hands dirty right now. With the upcoming Builders' Best Custom Show at the National Rally in Essex, Vermont, I needed to see who was currently pushing the envelope.

Interstate highways get the job done, but they’re not always the best part of a trip. Born from the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1921 and expanded in 1956, these roads can feel like endless stretches of straight lines, buffeted by semis and monotony.
