Rebounded night two after a rough first night. I wasn't able to pass a single car in my heat on a one lane track. That had me starting 7th in B Feature 1. I got caught up in a racing incident where my car kart-wheeled and I walked off the track with a very sore back and a DNF. After 6 lock-in cars from Friday, I started 9th in the A Feature Saturday night. I moved up 6 spots for a podium finish.

Not my best weekend but not my worst either. Night 1 I was running P2 and tried to go for the lead on lap 2. Hooked the bottom to get under the 1st place car but with not enough room I hit the tire. Caution sent me to the tail but I drove from 19th to 4th. Night 2 was less eventful with not a lot of movement out of anyone. Two more top 5 finishes!

Spent 2 nights back where it all started in Outlaw karts at English Creek Speedway. Had an uphill battle when my box stock kart wouldn't run in hot laps or qualifying. That put me dead last in points out of 42 karts. Battled back through my heat and B feature but unfortunately missed the transfer to the A feature by 1 spot. Earned a decent starting spot in my 250 A feature and worked my way up to 7th at one point but as soon as my kart got tight I struggled to adjust my driving due to my inexperience in that class. I had so much fun with all my friends and hope to be able to run it again next year!

I ran two different tracks this weekend. Picked up a podium with a 🥉place finish Friday at a track with NO scales and no tech 😏 and picked up another win at Sweet Springs Saturday night to make it 6 weekends in a row in victory lane!

Our night started out so strong as I went quick time in qualifying, moved ⬆️ 2 spots in my heat race and earned myself high points guy going into the dash. I led every lap of Harlow's Dash for Cash and secured pole position for the feature. I led 16 laps and had over a 4 second lead when a caution came out. I made a mistake and missed my mark after a restart and the second place car got a run outside me. Another caution came out and he had me by 0.04 of a second at the line which put him in front of me on another restart. Unfortunate timing and complete heartbreak for myself, my family and my whole team. That one really hurts but I'm coming for it next year Scotty!
