Being the woman who keeps everything going can leave very little room for the woman who needs care herself.

This November, make room for her.

After the Fog: The Reclamation Retreat
November 12–15, 2026 | Southeast Texas

I’m opening my private home for an intimate retreat exclusively for women healing from narcissistic, coercive, and emotionally abusive relationships.

Together, we’ll explore somatic practices, boundaries, and rebuilding self-trust, with honest conversation, rest, and connection woven throughout. You choose your pace and how much you share.

You do not have to arrive with the right words, a clear next chapter, or a neatly packaged story. You are welcome as you are.

Two ways to join:
Full retreat with private overnight lodging.
Friday + Saturday Retreat Pass, with an invitation to return Sunday for closing and lunch.

**Spots are limited.**
Find ticket options, pricing, and registration at IntimateRoots..

Know a woman who might need this invitation? Share it with her privately. Her story belongs to her.

Your desire did not appear in a vacuum.

It has been shaped by what you were taught, what you were warned about, what you survived, what your body learned to expect, what past partners praised or punished, and what you had to silence to belong.

That history matters. It is not a life sentence.

Rewriting Your S*xual Story is guided work for the person who is ready to examine shame, inherited scripts, avoidance, agency, and choice without treating s*xuality like a performance problem.

You do not have to force yourself into a more acceptable ending. You can understand the pattern and decide what belongs in the next chapter.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
And I want to spend this month talking about more than bruises.
Domestic violence can be physical. But it can also look like control, intimidation, s*xual coercion, financial restriction, isolation, threats, manipulation, gaslighting, and slowly learning to make yourself smaller so someone else doesn’t become angry.

Sometimes survival looks like leaving.
Sometimes it looks like staying quiet until it is safe to leave.
Sometimes it looks like functioning beautifully on the outside while your nervous system is in survival mode underneath it all.

And sometimes the hardest part begins after you’re out, when everyone assumes you should be “better” because the relationship is over.

Your body may still brace.
You may still second-guess yourself.
You may struggle to trust your own memories, choices, boundaries, or instincts.
You may miss someone who hurt you.
You may grieve the relationship you thought you had.
None of that makes your experience less real.

This month, we’re going to talk about the patterns abuse leaves behind, and what healing can actually look like when we stop asking, “Why didn’t you leave?” and start asking, “What happened to you, and what do you need now?”
Because survival is not the end of the story.

There is life after the fog.

And the gold isn’t for what happened to you.
The gold is for what you did next.

You survived the fog.

But surviving the relationship and feeling at home in yourself again are not always the same thing.

Your mind may understand what happened while your body still braces for the next conflict. You may have left, and still find yourself questioning your memories, your boundaries, your anger, or whether it was ever “bad enough.”

After the Fog™ is a four-day women’s somatic healing retreat for what comes after survival.

November 12–15, 2026
Lake Conroe | Willis, Texas
Private lakefront retreat home
Limited to approximately 15 women

Together, we will work with:

• Nervous-system regulation and body reconnection
• Boundaries without shame or collapsing into guilt
• Attachment, grief, anger, and self-trust
• Breathwork, gentle movement, and restorative practices
• Daily circles and guided reflection
• The Gold in the Cracks kintsugi ritual
• Quiet time, lake walks, and space to simply breathe

Your retreat includes lodging, nourishing meals, facilitated programming, retreat materials, selected gifts, a copy of After the Fog, and the After the Fog Somatic Recovery Workbook.

You will never be required to disclose your entire story or perform your healing for the room. Participation is invitational, consent-centered, and respectful of your pace.

This is not another weekend where you feel inspired for 48 hours and return home carrying the same survival patterns.

This is space to begin reclaiming the woman who survived them.

It’s here.

And I wasn’t prepared for what it would feel like to actually hold it in my hands.

I have waited almost 20 years for this book.

Not necessarily for this title. Not for this exact cover. But for the day when everything I had lived, learned, studied, witnessed, and helped other women walk through finally became something I could hold.

After the Fog: Reclaiming the Soul Who Survived is here.

This book is for the woman who made it out of a relationship that slowly taught her not to trust herself.

The woman who was told she was too sensitive, too emotional, too difficult, too much, or somehow never enough.

The woman who left but discovered that leaving and feeling free are not the same thing.

Because sometimes the relationship ends long before the body realizes the danger is over.

After the Fog is about what comes next.

Relearning your own voice.
Rebuilding self-trust.
Understanding what happened inside your nervous system.
Finding your boundaries again.
Reclaiming anger, pleasure, safety, identity, and choice.

And learning that healing does not mean pretending the cracks never happened.

Today, when I picked this book up for the first time, I had an immediate emotional response. The weight of it. The cover. The pages. Seeing my name there.

All of it.

I just stood there thinking:

There you are.

Almost twenty years.

And finally, here you are.

To every woman who will eventually hold this book in her own hands: I hope somewhere inside these pages, you recognize yourself again.

The gold isn’t for what happened to you.
The gold is for what you did next.

A good s*x life is not a numbers game.

More s*x does not automatically mean more connection. Less s*x does not automatically mean something is broken.

Frequency is information, but it cannot tell you whether both people feel wanted, safe, satisfied, or free to be honest.

Stop asking only, “How often are we having s*x?”

Start asking:

Do we both feel wanted?
Can we say no without punishment?
Can we ask for what we want without embarrassment?

That is where better s*x, and real intimacy, begins.

08/31/2026

Your partner has seen you naked. That does not make them a mind reader.

“Slower.” “Right there.” “Can we try something different?”

Giving direction isn’t criticism. It’s participation.

You’re allowed to ask for pleasure—not just quietly hope they stumble across it.

Want me like you wanted me before you had me.

Not because I need constant attention. Not because every day has to feel like the beginning.

But I still want to feel pursued after I became familiar.

I want the lingering look. The hand on my waist. The text that makes it clear you were thinking about me. I want to know commitment didn’t turn desire into something you only express when you want s*x.

Getting the relationship should not mean you stop courting the person.

Be honest: Do you still feel wanted—or merely loved?

Touch should not feel like a transaction.

When affection only appears as the opening move to s*x, your partner learns that every kiss, cuddle, or back rub comes with an expectation attached. Eventually, even genuine affection can start feeling like pressure.

Touch them when you want nothing.

That is how safety, desire, and connection are built long before anyone reaches the bedroom.
