IMPORTANT PARK UPDATE!

TPSA Family,

We have an update regarding Fields 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 at Tiger Point Park.

Following a secondary inspection, the county has determined that maintenance is needed on these fields. As a result, Fields 5–9 will be closed for the next 24-48 hours. This closure affects our Upper Leagues Baseball and Softball programs only.

We understand how disappointing this may be, especially after everyone was excited to return to the fields. Our volunteers have worked incredibly hard to help prepare the park, and we appreciate their continued efforts.

To clarify which sports are affected:

● CLOSED for the next 24 hours: Fields 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 — Upper Leagues Baseball and Softball.
● OPEN: Lower Leagues Baseball, Flag Football, and Soccer. These programs are not affected by this temporary closure.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while the county completes the necessary maintenance. We will share any additional updates as soon as they become available.

Fantastic news!

We have officially been given the green light to continue our fall sports seasons!

Your respective sports commissioners will be reaching out to coaches with updated schedules and information on how we will move forward.

While this is great news, Tiger Point Park still has a long road ahead. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work through the rebuilding process. Our volunteers are doing everything they can to get our kids back on the fields and return to some sense of normalcy.

We also want to give a huge thank you to our TPSA families, Rawlings Tigers Baseball, and Rawlings Tigers Softball for showing up this past weekend and putting in the hard work needed to get our park back open. We cannot stress enough how important those efforts were. Without the volunteers who stepped up, there was a very real possibility that the remainder of our fall sports seasons would have been canceled. Because of you, our kids get to keep playing!

If you have not heard from your coach by the end of the week, please reach out to your respective sports commissioner for information regarding your team’s schedule.

Lastly, please be mindful that there are still hazardous areas throughout the park. Any areas marked with caution tape are off-limits, and we ask that everyone stay clear of debris piles and ongoing cleanup areas. Parents, please help us by making sure your children stay away from these areas. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the park again, but safety has to remain our top priority.

We know things won’t be perfect for a while, and there will certainly be some bumps along the way. But we’re moving in the right direction, and that’s something worth celebrating.

Thank you again to everyone who has stepped up, offered help, and supported TPSA through this process. This community is what makes Tiger Point special, and this past weekend was a perfect example of that!

A weekend of PROGRESS.

Thank you to all of our volunteers, TPSA members, Rawlings Tigers Baseball and Softball for getting our park back in shape. We still have a LONG way to go but we will get there one day at a time.

Fingers crossed we can start sports back up sometime this week.

🧡🖤 GREAT NEWS, TPSA FAMILY! WE’RE CLEARED TO CLEAN UP TODAY! 🖤🧡

We’ve officially been given the all-clear to start cleaning up our park! We will be working on cleanup TODAY. 🎉

🙌Now it’s time to come together and help get our fields and facilities back in shape for our amazing community!

💪 Can you give us five minutes? Great! Five hours? Even better! Come whenever you can and stay as long as you’re able. Every little bit helps!

👨‍👩‍👦 Bring the family, lend a hand, and help us get our park back where it belongs. We know everyone is still recovering from the storm, and we appreciate that everyone has different schedules and circumstances. Any time you can give is truly appreciated!

🧡 Our park is more than just fields. It’s where our kids play, friendships grow, and our community comes together.

It’s been a difficult week for our park. We promise we are doing everything we can behind the scenes to get our players back on the field to finish their fall seasons.

We will rebuild stronger and better than ever.

The playground at Tiger Point Park is open. Please stay off the sports fields or anywhere there is damage.

UPDATE: Friday, October 16 - Due to damage identified after further assessment, Tiger Point Park is closed until further notice.

Our SRC Facilities team has been working diligently to address all building-related needs, and several Road & Bridge crews have assisted with debris cleanup throughout the parks. While progress continues, a few areas remain roped off, and we ask citizens to avoid these sections for their safety.

REMINDER, TIGER POINT PARK IS CLOSED. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT AT THE PARK, YOU WILL BE TRESPASSED.

TO THOSE OF YOU WHO BROKE INTO OUR CONCESSION STAND AND STOLE ITEMS, WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF FINDING OUT WHO IT WAS AND WE WILL TAKE ACTION.

WEVE BEEN KICKED HARD ENOUGH BY THE STORM, PLEASE DONT KICK US WHILE WERE DOWN. OUR COMMUNITY IS BETTER THAN THAT.

PARENTS PLEASE TELL YOUR KIDS NOT TO COME INTO THE PARK, DAY OR NIGHT.
