It is with so many emotions that we prepare to close the Dallas office come March â¤
This process of closing the Dallas office, has been very bittersweet. I am so sad to leave our clients, the Swiss Avenue Birth and Wellness Collaborative , and the incredible holistic wellness community in Dallas. But I am constantly reminded that it is not about me...it has always been about stewarding this business where the Lord leads and doing His work to serve moms.
And now, it is time for me to continue the work He has started through me and create a space on the Northeast to serve another community of Mommas!
When I started Mommas in Motion Dallas, I had no idea how much the Lord had planned! So many moms healed. So many moms empowered. So many moms educated. So many moms finding community through pelvic floor therapy.
God is so amazing!!
& before we close, I will be serving our clients one last time in-person at our Dallas office location in March. To book with me before closing in March, give our office phone a call/text or head to the link at the top of our page to schedule!
And as always, you can continue to work with me virtually through our virtual courses, programs, and virtual 1:1.
LOVE YOU DALLAS!
XO,
Jemila Medley

False! âThe pelvic floor actually needs to be able to relax and lengthen during labor and delivery so the baby can come out. Although the pelvic floor has a critical role in the birthing process it does not aid in the âpushingâ.

The statistics surrounding Pelvic Health tells us that 1 in 4 women over the age of 20 have some degree of pelvic floor dysfunction (whether or not theyâve had a baby) đĽş
This is heartbreaking - because many women donât actually get the help they need until later on or once pregnancies occur.
Knowing this information hereâs what you can do:
⨠TELL other women about pelvic floor dysfunction and the symptoms. Share your experiences, share your resources, and educate others!
⨠Seek out pelvic floor therapy help & resources!!!
⨠See a pelvic floor therapist as early on as possible.
â¨Advocate for pelvic floor therapy, advocate for yourself, educate your providers.

Letâs talk about it...
When you hover over the toilet, there is likely lots of tension being held in the pelvic floor and other muscles connected to the pelvic floor...
Which then leads to not fully emptying the bladder, feeling like youâre going to p*e when you stand up even after you just p*ed, urinary leaking, pain with s*x...
All of, TENSION!
Your muscles need to relax and lengthen when you go to the bathroom. So sit down!
Put some toilet paper down or disposable travel toilet seat covers. I promise it will be worth it if you just stop hovering, youâd be amazed at how your pelvic floor function improves!!
