From head-up, doggy paddling… to THIS 🔥

When he first started, he swam with his head up and didn’t want to use his arms correctly.
Now look at him — strong arms, confident head turns, and swimming with purpose. He’s KILLING it 🔥🔥

This is what happens when patience meets consistency.
We didn’t rush it. We built trust, one skill at a time… and now it’s clicking 💙

This is why I do what I do.

Every child starts somewhere — and with the right guidance, they bloom.

Teaching life saving skills one student at a time! When this precious 5yo started ONLY 5 classes ago, all she knew was she LOVED water.

Now she holds the skills to have fun and be safe! Mom and dad can relax a little knowing she knows how to get to safety!

Kids who swim before age 5 can show up to 15 months ahead in literacy and numeracy skills. Swimming activates both sides of the brain at the same time. Movements like kicking, balancing, and breathing in rhythm improve coordination and strengthen neural connections linked to learning. Water also adds resistance, making the brain and body work harder together.

Studies show early movement-based activities improve memory, focus, and problem-solving. Repeating swim patterns helps build timing, sequencing, and body awareness, all important for reading and math. Even 20–30 minutes a few times a week can make a difference over time.

Start simple and keep it fun. Splash, float, and play regularly. Early movement is not just exercise, it is brain building in action.

Six lessons. One confident swimmer. 🌊

I’m so proud of Mary Drew for completing all six lessons and absolutely crushing her water safety and swim technique goals.

Watching swimmers go from unsure to confident is the best part of my job. Every lesson builds skills that matter — floating, breathing, control, and strong technique.

Mary Drew showed up ready to learn, worked hard each session, and the results were amazing.

Moments like this are exactly why Anchor & Bloom Swim Co. exists — to help swimmers feel safe, confident, and capable in the water.

If your child (or you!) are ready to build real swim skills this summer, I still have a couple private lesson spots open.

Private lessons are valuable for anyone, but they are especially helpful for individuals who experience group anxiety, have had past water trauma, feel fearful around water, or simply benefit from focused one-on-one instruction.
