Out of concern for the safety of our Cowboys, cowgirls and our livestock the board has made a difficult decision to cancel today’s rodeo due to the weather and ground conditions.

Dr Kaylee Montone from Double M Veternarian will be onsite for a few hours tomorrow. She can perform Coggins and give Vaccines onsite. Please contact her if you need her services. Don’t forget you are required to have a valid coggins for all horses.

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow. Don’t forget we are in Hamilton at Mike Tracy Arena. Please park in the open field to the left of the arena. The area around the arena is reserved for board members and vendors. There is no fee for parking or spectators.

Check-in will be from 7:00 am to 8:30 am. We need everyone checked in by 8:30, so please don’t wait until 8:00/8:15 to get in line. If you already have your Membership form/waiver printed and signed it will go faster. We accept cash, check, or Venmo.

Pre-purchased shirts will be available to pick up at check-in. We will have a limited number for sale, as well as, cowpunchers caps. We will still enforce a strict dress code. Western Attire: boots, jeans, belt, cowboy hat or helmet, and longsleeve western shirt or the neon pink or blue cowpunchers shirt. All shirts must be tucked in.

There is the potential for rain, but hopefully we can get through the day. Everyone being ready the first time they are called and volunteers in the arena will make things go so much faster.

Cowpunchers Board will be in the neon green shirts. We are always available for questions, but please refrain from entering the crows nest. There will be other members on the ground to answer all your questions or notify the crows nest if needed.

We will start with Grand Entry and then mutton busting and goats off the horse in the arena. At the same time we will be doing dummy roping (bootleggers to knee-high), goat tie on the ground and goat tail untie under the pavillion. If your child mutton busts go there first and then straight to the Paviliion.

COWPUNCHER’s BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT- Amy Fielder

My name is Amy Fielder and I am from Harris County. This is my first year on the Cowpunchers board and I am honored to serve. I have volunteered, timed and judged Cowpunchers rodeos since the start of this organization five years ago.
I look forward to this new season and what it brings for Cowpunchers growth.

My family is very important to me and thats where I get my passion for horses, showing and rodeo. I have been married to my husband Dominic for three years. Together, we have 4 kids: Lane (27), Taylor (22), Mylo (18), and Knox (10). Taylor is the only one who shares my love for horses.

I have been involved with horses since I was little, competing from the local level all the way to national and world competitions. I started with Western Pleasure and moved to AQHA All-Around, and branched out from there over the years. Looking forward to a great year with Cowpuncher's.

COWPUNCHER’s BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT- Nick North

My name is Nicholas North. This will be my second year serving on the cowpunchers board, I will be your roping director and Vice president. This will be my family’s fourth year competing in cow punctures. I started roping at a young age when my father graded Scott Heath’s roping Arena. I was hooked from the first time. I saw Scott throw a rope. I have enjoyed horse horses, rodeo, and roping all of my life. My accomplishments include multiple qualifications for the USTRC National finals, with many saddles and buckles won. As I get older, it has become more fun for me to help my children and other children grow and progress in the sport of rodeo. I look forward to another great season with cowpunchers and hope to give many children the opportunity to learn, grow, and serve the Lord through the sport of rodeo.

My wife, Chainey, and I have been married for going on 16 years. We have two wonderful high spirited children. Benjamin started in Jr rodeo four years ago and has worked hard at developing his riding and competitive edge. He won all around cowboy and champion in all Pee-wee events last year for cowpunchers. Our daughter Evelyn is just as competitive and though she is not old enough to place in events, she did win the cowpunchers Sweetheart princess for 26-27.

I am very honored to be serving on cowpunchers board. The sport of rodeo is and always will be dedicated to hard work, personal growth, and above all giving honor and glory to our mighty creator.

COWPUNCHER’s BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT- Scott Heath

My name is Scott Heath, and I will be joining the Cowpunchers Rodeo Board this year! Rodeo has always been a central part of life for my wife, Angela, and me throughout our 32 years of marriage. My own journey began in high school rodeo many moons ago, leading to years of competing in amateur rodeos in calf roping, steer wrestling, and team roping.

That passion naturally became a family tradition. Our daughters, Ryanne and Caitlyn, began competing when they were barely 3 years old. They grew up competing in junior high, high school and college rodeo. Both went on to earn multiple state event championships and national qualifications in goat tying, pole bending, breakaway roping, and barrel racing. Now, we are proudly entering a third generation of rodeo athletes with our granddaughter, Addy.

This season, alongside my youngest daughter, Caitlyn, we will be stepping into the arena as your official stock contractors. Our mission is simple: to supply the absolute best rodeo stock available, ensuring every contestant gets a fair draw and the ultimate opportunity for success in their chosen event.

I look forward to serving on the board and working alongside the entire Cowpunchers community to make this an unforgettable, faith- and family-first rodeo season. See you all in the dirt! 🇺🇸🙏🐎🐂

COWPUNCHER’s BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT- Brandy Barentine is

My name is Brandy Barentine, and this is my fourth year serving on the Cowpunchers Board. I currently serve as the Financial Director, where I oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, respond to emails, handle registrations, and serve as the timer during our events. Last year, I had the opportunity to finish the season as the Cowpunchers announcer, and I am excited to continue in that role this year.

I have been married to my husband, Chad, for 15 years, and we live in Hogansville, Georgia, with our daughter, Annie. Annie is actually the reason our rodeo journey began. At just three years old, she had a wish and a dream to ride horses. This momma and daddy decided to make that dream come true—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we could have ever made.

One of my favorite parts of serving with Cowpunchers is getting to watch the rodeo from the crow’s nest. From up there, I get to see each cowboy and cowgirl grow, improve, and thrive in a sport they truly love. Being able to watch their hard work, dedication, and passion is something I never take for granted.

I absolutely love serving on the Cowpunchers Board and being part of an organization that supports our cowboys and cowgirls while keeping the rodeo spirit alive. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve and excited for another great season!
