🎄🫏MISSION CHRISTMAS JOY...WEST VIRGINIA NEEDS US! ❤️
The floodwaters are gone. The headlines have faded. But the devastation remains.
On July 21, devastating flooding swept through Upshur and Lewis Counties in West Virginia, leaving families with destroyed homes, damaged businesses, lost vehicles, and lives turned upside down.
More than three months later, these communities are STILL recovering.
💔 In Lewis County, an entire middle school was so badly damaged that more than 400 students are now attending classes at a 4-H camp facility.
💔 Businesses are still working toward full recovery, including the Walmart in Weston, which was severely flooded and has been reopening in stages.
💔 In some neighborhoods, floodwaters swept away families’ vehicles. Many did not have insurance coverage to replace them, leaving transportation a daily struggle.
💔 And behind every statistic are individual families still trying to put their lives back together.
When the floods struck in July, Mission Mules answered the call, bringing our pack mules to help communities in need.
Now we’re going BACK.....but this time, our packs will be filled with CHRISTMAS JOY! 🎁🐴
Mission Mules is partnering with United Cajun Navy, Band of Brothers, and BOTH counties to host two special Christmas celebrations: one in Upshur County and one in Lewis County!
Our mission is simple: Bring Christmas festivities, laughter, encouragement, and a reminder of God’s love to children and families who have endured so much.
And we need YOUR HELP FILLING THE PACKS!
🎁 OUR GOAL: 1,000 WRAPPED CHRISTMAS GIFTS! 🎁
Imagine the smiles as our special mules arrive carrying packs filled with presents for children who have experienced such a difficult year!
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:
🎁 Purchase toys from our Amazon or Walmart wishlists.
❤️ Make a financial donation to help us purchase cookies, hot cocoa, candy canes, paper goods, wrapping supplies, and other necessities for these celebrations.
⛪ Get your church involved! Organize a Christmas toy collection to help us fill the mules’ packs!
When we first arrived in these communities, our mules carried supplies to help families through some of their darkest days. This Christmas, we want those same mules to carry something just as important.....HOPE, JOY, and LOVE.
We want every child and family to know that even though the cameras are gone and the headlines have faded, THEY HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN.
God’s love doesn’t end when the emergency ends. And neither does our mission. ❤️
🐴🎄 Let’s make MISSION CHRISTMAS JOY our most uplifting mission yet!
Together, we can fill 1,000 gifts, brighten hundreds of faces, and remind two West Virginia communities that they are loved.
