❤️ MEET SMOKIE… OUR RETIRED MOLLY WITH SO MUCH LOVE & SERVICE LEFT TO GIVE!

Smokie has been part of our family longer than most of our children, and now sharing her love with the next generation! We couldn’t love or respect this sweet girl more.

Next year, Smokie turns 30! 🎉

While her days of carrying heavy loads are behind her, she still has an important role: sharing her gentle spirit, meeting people, representing Mission Mules, and reminding us that service looks different in every season of life.

She may not carry the load anymore, but she still carries the mission. ❤️

Here’s to our sweet Smokie—retired from heavy work, but never retired from making a difference! 🐴❤️

What an honor to see Mike and the Mission Mules string taking part in the opening ceremonies of the Mission Mules Rodeo Series 🇺🇸 We also enjoyed sharing information about Mission Mules with many in attendance.

This special ceremony remembered September 11, 2001, and all the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the sacrifices made that day. We will never forget.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone behind this rodeo series for including Mission Mules and for creating a safe, encouraging, and nurturing place where young people can grow in the sport of rodeo. The fact that this series was also created with the goal of benefiting Mission Mules means more to us than we can express.

Thank you for believing in our mission and allowing the mules to be part of such a meaningful tribute and wonderful event.

We Remember.
Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families whose lives were forever changed that day.
We remember the emergency responders and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger to help others, putting the lives of others before their own.
Their courage, compassion, and willingness to serve remind us that when others are hurting, we answer the call.
At Mission Mules, we carry that spirit of service with us. We believe no one should be forgotten when help is needed most.

Having their support as we continue serving others with our mules is incredibly meaningful to us.

🤠RODEO TIME! 🇺🇸

We are truly honored to bring the Mission Mules out for the Grand Entry and help kick off this exciting rodeo series!

Some fabulous rodeo people have worked incredibly hard to put together a quality series, and we are so humbled and grateful that proceeds will benefit Mission Mules. What an incredible honor and blessing for our mission! ❤️

And to make the day even more special for our family, we’ll get to watch our daughter AND our granddaughters compete! Three generations in the arena makes this one pretty special. 🥰

🫏📖 WHEN THE LESSONS COME TO LIFE! ❤️

Truth & Trail Collective, LLC had such a special evening Wednesday with Circle C Cowboy Church in Morristown, Tennessee! Their youth had just completed our Mules on a Mission Sunday School Curriculum over the past six weeks, and we were so excited to introduce them to some of the REAL Mission Mules they had been learning about!

Mike shared some mule-packing skills with the group, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal, great fellowship, and some incredible Tennessee hospitality.

We were also incredibly grateful for the canned food drive held for Mission Mules that evening! ❤️ Thank you to everyone who contributed. Those donations will help Mission Mules continue serving communities when disaster strikes.

There’s just something special about watching kids learn about faith, service, and helping others…and then getting to meet the four-legged heroes from their lessons! 🫏❤️

Mission Mules is expanding our disaster response team, and we’re looking for the right people to join us. Do you have a heart for service? Do you have skills and experience that could help us reach people when disaster strikes?

We’re looking for:

Mission Mules Packers
Experienced backcountry mule packers ready to work in remote and challenging conditions.

Mission Mules Wranglers
Mule handlers and experienced horsemen ready to support our pack teams in the field.

Rapid Assessment Team Leads
Experienced field professionals who can assess needs, identify access challenges, gather information, and help determine how Mission Mules can respond.

These are deployment-capable volunteer positions. They require commitment, teamwork, good judgment, and a willingness to serve in difficult and unpredictable conditions.

If you’re looking for a way to put your skills to work helping others when they need it most, we’d love to hear from you. Join our team and be part of something bigger than yourself.
