Square Deal Riders Motorcycle Club is one of the oldest clubs in the United States. And proud to be AMA's Motorcycle Club of the Year. Hope to see you at the races!
Square Deal Riders is one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in the United States. We are a non-profit organization formed in 1937 as a family-oriented club dedicated to the betterment of all forms of motorcycling. SDR is active in the community, supporting many functions for local schools, the Christmas Angels of Harpursville program, and sponsoring scholarships at our local high school. Its continued support over the years enabled the Colesville (NY) Fire Department to buy a new ambulance. Square Deal also hosts the longest-running AMA sanctioned off-road motorcycle series in the country -- the SDR Mud and Snow Scrambles, a five-race winter series held on select Sundays from the beginning of January to the end of February. We have had our traditional Rites of Spring Road run, thanks to the continued support of American Spirit Motorcycle Club, on every first race day for many years !!! Square Deal Riders has been promoting flat track motorcycle racing for over 50 years, both at its own facility and formerly at the Afton Fairgrounds. Many of today's nationally ranked riders have ridden at one of these facilities. AMA's 3 time Grand National Champ, Kenny Coolbeth honed his skills as an amateur at our ultra-fast 1/4 mile cushion track.
Mission: Promote all forms of motorcycling and unite that with community
Operating as usual
Mike and Jay stopped down to drop off a check to the CHOW Food-a-Bago last night. This will provide approximately 1500 meals for families this Holiday season. Even though we didn't have any flat track races this year, we are fortunate to still be able to help our local community! If you are able to donate in any way, they will be at the Weis on Front Street in Binghamton from 8am-6pm today and tomorrow. Any amount goes a long way, especially with COVID effects this year!
This pic was from last year as they didn't take any pics due to social distancing this year.
Club meeting tomorrow night, Wednesday November 4 at 7pm
Look for the 2021 Flat Track Schedule to be released very soon.. 😁

The riders listed below are receiving trophies for their respective classes from the SDR Sprint Enduro.
Again, we apologize that they did not come in before the last Sprint Enduro this past Sunday. Therefore, we ask for your help in getting them dispersed out to everyone. If you or someone you know can get them from us to to the riders, please contact us and we can get in touch with you. We want to try to avoid the costly shipping expenses, if possible. Otherwise, we can try to personally deliver them. Please take a look below and let us know if any of that is possible with you. We can do our best to meet you if local to Binghamton or our club grounds in Harpursville. Please message us here on Facebook or contact Jay Mitrowitz 607-725-2563 or Mike Williams 607-725-3069. Thank you all in advance!

2021 Winter dates. Please note: As a club, we have decided to continue to do what we did the last couple years with the winter races. Each race will depend on the conditions of the parking areas and the property. We all know how crazy our weather has been in the past so this decision is in the best interests of the club and our property. Check our website and/or page the week of each race for updates! It worked out well last year with the pits being full when it froze up so let's hope for a good winter season! Due to this, we will just be having races with no overall points awards at the end. As we get closer to the season, we will post any necessary updates pertaining to COVID. Thanks and hope to see you then!
We will be having a normally scheduled meeting this Wednesday, October 7, at 7pm!!
It was a beautiful day for our Fall Foliage Run yesterday! Thank you so much to everyone who came and to those who helped make the run a success! Also, thanks to you all for your donations for Bruce and Deb Gerken. We hope it will help them with any costs attributed to their recent motorcycle accident. Bruce does a great job putting on our Annual Rites of Spring Ride to the Races every year so it was nice to return the favor! A big thanks to the Nineveh Country Store and Schneider's Market for their generous donation of food after the ride as well as to those who brought a dish to pass. We hope you enjoyed the run and we will plan on it again next year!
Take advantage of a nice day and the fall foliage at near peak this Saturday, October 3! Ride with us, starting at Conklin Cycle Center, down into PA, out around the Cannonsville Reservoir and back to our club grounds in Harpursville. The ride will start at 12 Noon and we will have sign in from 10-12 Noon with coffee available. We will have food and drinks available at the end of the ride. This ride is donation only and all proceeds will go directly to our friends Bruce and Deb Gerken who were involved in a motorcycle accident recently. Hope you all can come out and enjoy the day with us! Bikes and any vehicles are welcome!

Chad Cose wins at Square Deal
Impatiently waiting until May 2021..
Even though our 2020 season unfortunately isn't happening, there are still some good races going on elsewhere. Mike Poe is promoting a race down at Coveview Speedway in Warfordsburg, PA on September 19. This will be a great event so be sure to head down there to support it! Also, the renamed Short Track New York in Cuddebackville will have their AMA Vintage Nationals September 12 and 13. There will be support classes along with the Vintage classes. Be sure to check them out here on Facebook under Short Track New York
Today would've been the day that we race in honor of a dear friend of all of us here at SDR, Aaron Creamer. This race has been ran for 16 straight years, starting in 2004 when Aaron passed due to injuries sustained in a racing crash in Sturgis. It has been an honor for us to have this race in Aaron's name and to have the Creamer family in attendance every year. We are very saddened that we can't have the race this year, but that doesn't mean we won't be thinking about Aaron and the Creamer family. A lot of the guys coming up through racing these days didn't know Aaron, but they all come out every year to support his race and have heard nothing but good things about him. All for good reason because he was the type of person we all wanted to emulate. Below are pics from last years Aaron Creamer Memorial Race. Chad Cose took the win, with Craig Estelle second and Jay Maloney third. Fly high Aaron and keep going in circles up there! We miss you bud! RIP#64
[08/05/20] Tonight's club meeting is cancelled. Our next meeting will be September 2nd. Thanks and hope you are all doing well!
It was a beautiful day yesterday for our Charity Run! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the day with us! The ride started at Conklin Cycle Center and ended at our facility. We hope you all had fun and enjoyed the ride! Big thanks goes out to Mario at Conklin Cycle Center for allowing us to have sign up there, the volunteers that helped put this ride together and to Devon Lawton and the Inlaws for the amazing music under the pavillion! We look forward to doing this ride every year! We are planning on a couple more road rides in the next two months so be sure to keep an eye out for the info on them soon!
Our grounds are ready for tomorrow's Charity Photo Poker Ride/Run! The ride will start at Conklin Cycle Center with sign up from 9-11am and ends here at SDR! Sign up, grab a route sheet and head out on an adventure through upstate NY. We will have live music under the pavillion with Devon Lawton as well as pizza, snacks, drinks, and bike games waiting for you here at the end. Please remember to practice social distancing (plenty of room here) and please bring masks with you when you aren't able to distance. Cars are welcome as well so spread the word to the classic car clubs! Please click on this link for all info! Hope to see you tomorrow! https://facebook.com/events/s/photo-poker-run-bikecar-charit/571180936881114/?ti=cl
Most of the races we hold have more meaning behind them than just motorcycles and quads racing around our quarter mile dirt track. Tonight would've been the night where we dedicate and remember the lives of two amazing guys, Kyle McGrane and Jamison Minor. Unfortunately due to this COVID deal, we won't be able to get together for the 4th running of their race. We will miss seeing everyone come out to support this race in honor of Kyle and Jamison with their families in attendance. However, we will still remember them regardless of not being able to be together. Here's to you guys.. fly high and keep going in circles up there! All of us at SDR look forward to the 2021 Kyle McGrane and Jamison Minor Memorial!
**At tonight's club meeting, we unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Flat Track Season.**
This is the last thing we wanted to do, but due to uncertainties related to COVID, we had no choice. Restrictions continue to be extended as the summer goes on and we are running out of time. Our hands are tied with this whole situation. It takes weeks to prepare for a race. With so much uncertainty and no guidance whatsoever from the Governor's office, we aren't able to properly plan anything. Also, there are more restrictions now with people traveling from out of state. We decided from the beginning of this roller coaster ride that we need restrictions to be lifted in order to put on the quality races that we strive for. Unfortunately, this hasn't happened and it doesn't look promising as the summer continues. Many large events in NY are being cancelled, so the writing is on the wall with restrictions heading into the fall. Our plan is to continue to work on our facility, the track and come back even stronger in 2021! We thank you for your patience through all of this and for your understanding. If something drastic changes, we will be sure to let you all know as soon as possible right here on our page and our website. Look for a decision on the status of our Sprint Enduro in early August. Again, please respect our decision as we always have to put our clubs interests as the main priority as well as everyone's health and safety. Thank you all for your support, stay safe and hope to see you all soon!
[06/30/20] There will not be a club meeting tomorrow night, July 1. The next meeting will be next Wednesday, July 8 at 7pm

Just a reminder that our Vintage Flat Track Nationals have been postponed to September 11/12! The current Vintage National schedule is below ⬇️
In case you missed it...
**IMPORTANT UPDATE**: At our club meeting on May 20, we decided it is best to postpone our AMA Vintage National weekend to September 11th and 12th. The rest of the race events on our schedule are on hold until further notice. We were hoping we wouldn't have to do this, but we have to take the necessary precautions to do what's best for our club. With the way we are set up, we need to be able to have events without the restrictions that are currently in place by the CDC and New York State. Our sport is currently listed in Phase 4 of the NYS Governor's Re-Opening Plan, so we are choosing to wait and see what happens as we get closer to that Phase.
Our decision is made with our club and all of you in mind. There are a lot of unclear guidelines and uncertainty right now. We need to see when and how we can race, in black and white, before we put on any racing events at our facility. We pride ourselves with putting on quality, fun races. We feel that we cannot attain this with the current restrictions in place. Every person that comes through our gate plays a vital role in what we are all about. We simply cannot have races without spectators. At the same time, we strive to have safe events as well. Everyone's safety, including our staff, is a top priority.
We ask that you please respect our decisions. We are a volunteer-based, non-profit club. Our races are more than just the racing. We love to see everyone come together, mingle and have a great time before, during and after the races. We thank you all for your patience and understanding through this unprecedented time. We will be sure to post any news as soon as we know anything or make any decisions. We will meet again at the end of the month to make a decision of what we will do from that point moving forward. Stay safe and we will get back on track as soon as we feel it is the right time!
Even though we're not able to hold any events right now, we are still slowly plugging away at little projects when we have some spare time! Click on each pic to read the descriptions
