Inspirations by Kathyann

2021 has certainly brought with it a new form of challenges and a new sense of hope and creativity. It has been a year of shifting directions, knowing when to step back and breath, and being open to make changes while honoring the skills that are closest to my heart. Stepping away from my work with my prior employer when I retired in June 2020. Taking various classes in developing my writing skills which have included a book on Recovery with a variety of personal stories that touch the heart. (Delays in its publication) Working with a local bookstore who hosted a number of published authors from Central PA and a great group of authors our book is being formatted for publication. I have the only fiction story I have ever written in that book with several poems. After over two years my Franciscan Fellowship Fellowship wrote the book Song of the Larks and I have four Franciscan poems that have been printed. One of my poems were made into lyrics by one of my Franciscan brothers who heard it as music when I read to him. He worked with a friend to write the music and it is now available as a MP3. The song is called "Holy, My God is Holy" If you are interested in the MP3 email [email protected] Using my creativity in my writings allows me to discover inner layers of my soul.

I have been taking pictures of nature in the autumn. I have started jotting down ideas for a poem on the subject during this time of transition. Should be coming soon.

Participated in a phenomenal training today. It meant spending 6 hours on Zoom (I did take quite a few bathroom breaks) and I decided to eat lunch on the terrace and the fresh air was a great break. The training was on what will be a phenomenal wellness tool. It was based on the concept of Soul Collage which allowed me to enter deeper into my soul and who I am.

This truly has been a beautiful autumn in Central PA. We even had a beautiful sunset today. While we totally enjoyed our trip up north we when to a State Forest. Took some beautiful pictures of the tall pines of William Penn's woods reaching for the skies!!

Looking forward to heading up the 11/15 to Northeast PA where we are looking to take pictures of the beautiful Auttumn artistry of God's Creation!!

At our apartment complex we have the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We are able to hear the beautiful carillons of the Sanctuary on the other side of the treeline several times of the day. These are the moments that fill me with Hope.

Had my Story Makers class today at Cupboard Makers. I am working on Honoring Life and finding Hope by Collecting Stories and typying up the many cards and letter I have written over the years (they illustrate one tool for healing over the years. We had an excellent class on Independent publishing. While I have not decided my route forward it is worth considering-some definite benefits. I am already working with a writing mentor and following various online training classes on book promotion.
