One year ago today, the LBA community was shocked by an unspeakable tragedy. On June 12, 2025, many of us were at the Majors field at Koons Park when we learned that 10y/o Bryson Funk had passed away from sudden cardiac arrest. Tonight, the LBA family gathered again at Koons Park for Bryson as his teammates and friends across all levels in the league played wiffle ball with the Funk family, shared memories (along with snacks and drinks) with his 717 Athletics cheer friends, and helped bring some joy to a somber anniversary. And - we all learned the exciting news that as of today, June 12, 2026, The Bryson Funk Foundation is officially incorporated as a charity organization in PA. Stay tuned for more information about the Foundation in coming weeks! #3

Support a neighboring youth baseball event at Paxtonia Athletic Association this weekend for their 11U All-Star tournament. As a part of our community, they’ll be supporting by selling bracelets at their concession stand. Thank you for your support!

Linglestown Colts visit grave of former 10-year-old teammate after repeating as champs The Linglestown Colts repeated as champs in 2026, roughly one year after a former 10-year-old teammate died a day after winning the championship, 7-2.

Our 10U Minors and 12U Majors seasons came to a conclusion last night. Congrats to our 10U Champions, the Colts, and runner ups, the Mets, as well as our 12U Champions, the Tigers, and runner ups, the Cubs. For the second year in a row, it was a yellow sweep across all divisions.

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, tragedy struck one of our own. In a horrific accident caused by recklessness, our Teener B Grey player, Landon Walker, and his mother, Stephanie, were critically injured in our hometown of Linglestown. They both were hospitalized, and they have a long journey of healing ahead.

In order to support them, please consider donating and sporting a bracelet. Bracelets by donation are available via Venmo (-Walker-171) or at the concession stand. If purchasing by Venmo, please notify Doug Rakes Jr. if you’re unable to pick up a bracelet at the concession stand.
