The Wolfpack are heading into their 3rd straight week of competition!

This Saturday, we're heading to Hatfield, PA for the Montbucks 7's Tournament, fighting to remain at the top against plenty of talented sides.

Both our premier & social side will be on the pitch representing Media Rugby. So there will be plenty of playing time for our players & plenty to watch for our spectators.

We are dropping our kickoff times this Friday.

Our Collegiate Athlete of the Week is

Meet J, who is heading into his senior year at Widener University. Over the years, he's become one of the team's most versatile players, stepping up wherever he's needed, whether that's at center, flanker, or wing.

One of the things J loves most about Widener's rugby program is the opportunity it provides to travel throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states, experiencing places he may never have visited otherwise while competing at the collegiate level. It gives the team something to look forward to every weekend and creates memories that last far beyond the game itself.

For Jeremiah, rugby is all about acceptance. No matter your experience or skill level, everyone has the chance to make an impact both on and off the field. The support and encouragement he receives from experienced players and coaches continue to motivate him to improve every day.

When we asked him why he chose Media RFC, he said:

I love Media Rugby for its complexity and the mix of players with different skill levels and years of experience. There is always room for improvement and opportunities to learn from others. It's a men's league that constantly pushes you to become a better rugby player.

As J enters his final year at Widener, we've enjoyed watching his growth both as a player and a teammate. If all goes according to plan, we'll be welcoming a talented and versatile player back to Media RFC after graduation, someone who has improved tremendously with each season and still has plenty of rugby ahead of him.

Finishing top 4, yesterday put our team in 1st overall in the

We still have a tough 3 weeks to go to finish there. We know these fellas will be a huge part of that:

πŸ† Kev Deal had his best tournament ever for Media. Being a brick wall on defense & being in all the right spots on offense.

πŸͺ– .22 his first year with Media & his tournament with us. We are beyond lucky to have this kid. He plays with his heart on his shoulder & never gives anyone on the other team an easy try.

πŸ† with a close game. He decided to take a big risk. His short grubber kickoff didn't pan out. However, the kid was a difference maker on the day. Absolute stud on offense & defensive.

Our Wolfpack travels to Montco next week for our next showing where our Pilgrims will also join them πŸ‘€

We finished the top 4 in the premier bracket.

Not the results we wanted but still very much in the battle to bring the Keystone Cup home again.

These next 3 tournaments are huge for us.

The Wolfpack are back at it for the 2nd straight week of competition!

This Saturday, we're heading to Bethlehem for the Lehigh Valley 7's Tournament, another chance to rack up points in the standings.

Only our Premier side will be on the pitch representing Media Rugby this week. Both sides will be active in the next 2 straight tournaments.

Even if you're not playing, come make some noise! Hop in the car and come support the fellas. Your energy matters.

We are dropping our kickoff times this Friday.

Our Collegiate Athlete of the Week is .kev

Meet Kev, a recent grad from where he played second row and walked away with a lot more than a degree. He found a brotherhood at WC without even realizing it was happening, competing alongside talented guys who pushed him to grow his game in ways he never expected.

At the end of the day, rugby means family to Kev. There's nothing quite like going to war with your teammates and knowing they've got your back no matter what. Those are the bonds that stick with you.

When we asked him why Media RFC, he said it best himself:

I love the intensity that Media Rugby brings and the winning culture that comes with being a part of the team. The drive to bring home the hardware is so strong here, and there's a brotherhood created in that shared sense of chasing the highest accomplishment we can.

Hopefully we will get to add you to our pack this fall, Kev πŸ’ͺ

Didn't win our home tournament but these dogs had a day.

πŸ† absolutely electric on the field. Not only making scoring look easy but killing it on defense & the rucks as well

πŸͺ– this kid is a dog. Coming back to Media after a year off we are lucky to have him back

πŸ† that kickoff. enough said.

πŸ† the pilgrims had a rough day but he played his heart out. Definitely a bright future ahead for him.

Sadly our boys didn't get the result we wanted at yesterday.

Our premier team finished 4th overall out of 16 teams.

Our second side failed to make it out of the group play.

Time to fine tune things this week before just our premier side heads to Lehigh Valley 7's.
