❤️”The Cost of Being the Strong One”❤️

I watched a message by Dr. Jamal Bryant today, and it pierced my spirit.

He talked about how family always assumes you have it together.
They assume you’re strong.
They assume you don’t need help.
They assume you’re okay.

What they don’t see is that you conditioned yourself not to complain.
You trained your heart to sacrifice in silence.
You learned how to pour, give, cover, fix, and show up—
even when nobody said thank you.
Even when your sacrifice was treated like an obligation.

You loaned money that was never returned.
You gave time that was never honored.
You carried weight that was never yours to hold.

And God said…
“I owe glory to the dependable one.”

That word met me right where I was today.

This morning I was preparing my granddaughters for school, getting myself ready for work, cleaning up, fixing breakfast—trying to make sure everybody was okay…
and still trying not to leave God out.

And when my daughter picked them up and the house got quiet—
I stopped.
And I breathed.

Because I realized something honest:
My energy was low.
My power was low.
My spirit was low.
My flesh was tired.

And I didn’t have the capacity to give to another soul.

What I needed was my Father in heaven to refill my cup.
Refill my gas.
Restore my spirit.
Send a fresh wind.

My faith has never felt this low before.
But if God has me here…
then I’m choosing—one breath at a time—to trust Him.

I share this because we have to be honest in our walk with God.
Authentic.
Truthful.

Yes, there are moments we endure.
Yes, there are seasons we persevere.

But I believe—deep in my spirit—that the lessons in these trials will be counted as pure joy.

Because the joy of the Lord…
is still my strength.

Even here.
Even tired.
Even empty.

And I trust that He will fill me again.

❤️On my heart ❤️

POST: “The Transitional Space”

Nobody talks about the transitional space.
We hear sermons about leaving Egypt.
We celebrate stepping into the Promise Land.
But almost nobody talks about the place in between —
the uncomfortable, stretching, lonely space
where God is stripping the old
so He can elevate you into the new.

This is the space where Moses couldn’t go…
so he sent twelve men to scope out the land.
A space where God lets you SEE the promise
before you ever get to ENTER it.

But what about us today?

What about the people who are:
• Letting go of relationships that no longer serve their destiny
• Releasing chaos, dysfunction, or emotional caretaking
• Breaking generational patterns
• Healing from rejection, abandonment, and silence
• Being stretched into emotional maturity
• Recovering from self-betrayal and overgiving
• Preparing for new friendships, new love, new opportunities
• Transforming their minds to match what God is doing
• Fighting not to sabotage what they prayed for
• Learning not to rescue everyone while losing themselves

This transitional space is holy…
but it is also heavy.

It looks like elevation from the outside,
but feels like warfare on the inside.

It’s where the old version of you dies
but the new version hasn’t fully risen.

It’s where God says:
“You can’t bring that mindset into your Promise Land.”
“You can’t take those old wounds with you.”
“You can’t love the new way using the old patterns.”
“You can’t take everybody with you.”

And this is exactly where God has me right now.

In this transitional space, God has been teaching me:
• To stop begging people to stay
• To detach from chaos without guilt
• To stop rescuing everyone — including the people I love the most
• To walk in my feminine power instead of over-functioning
• To let people (including my children and partner) grow without me carrying their weight
• To embrace the new woman He is birthing in me
• To hold on to the promise even when the process feels painful
• To stop letting silence trigger me
• To trust God’s timing when mine runs out

This space isn’t punishment —
it’s preparation.
It’s not delay —
it’s development.
It’s not abandonment —
it’s alignment.

Transition is where God transforms you
so when you step into your Promise Land…
you actually have the capacity to KEEP IT.

If you are here too…
breathe.
God is not breaking you — He is BUILDING you.

💬 QUESTION FOR YOU:

Are you in a transitional space right now?
What is God asking you to release…
so you can step into the land He promised you?

✨ The Fight of Silence ✨

Whew… can I be real for a moment?

For most of my life, silence was my power.
It strengthened me, protected me, elevated me, and kept me grounded in God.

But in this season… silence hits different.

Silence has become a trigger tied to something my heart desires more than I want to admit.
Silence feels like waiting.
Silence feels like longing.
Silence feels like the ache of wanting to be seen, heard, and understood.

And I had to be honest with myself:
I’m fighting to get back to the place where silence empowered me…
instead of breaking me emotionally.

If you’ve ever been in a season where the same silence that used to strengthen you
now feels like it’s stretching you painfully…
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

And you’re not weak — you’re evolving.
Silence is shaping you in ways noise never could.

Here are a few things I’m learning in this silent season:

🌿 1. Re-anchor your silence back to God, not people.
People’s silence can feel like rejection.
But God’s silence is often protection or redirection.

🌿 2. Pay attention to what the silence is triggering.
Is it abandonment? Fear? Expectation?
Naming the wound keeps it from controlling your emotions.

🌿 3. Give your emotions a voice — without forcing someone to carry them.
Journal. Pray. Worship. Release.
Your heart deserves expression even when no one else is listening.

Now let me ask you…
Has silence ever shifted from being your strength to being your struggle?
What did that season teach you about yourself?

Drop your testimony below — your story may be the healing someone else needs. 💛

Are church girls raised to be wives while boys are not trained to be husbands? 🤔

✨Series: Are you pregnant with Purpose?

1. Do You Know What You’re Carrying?

A woman who is pregnant may not always see the baby, but she knows it’s there. She nurtures it, protects it, and prepares for its arrival. The same is true for the purpose God has placed within you. Just because you don’t see it fully formed yet doesn’t mean it isn’t growing!

Joseph had dreams of leadership (Genesis 37:5-10), but he had to endure the pit, slavery, and prison before he saw the palace. His purpose was inside of him all along—he just had to go through the process!

What has God placed in you that needs nurturing? Are you feeding your purpose with faith, prayer, and action? Or are you letting doubt and fear starve it?

✨ Take time to journal today: What do you believe God has placed inside of you? How are you preparing to birth it?

Scripture to meditate on: Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Are You Pregnant with Purpose?

Labor pains are real—even in the spirit. When God places purpose inside of you, there will be moments of joy and moments of pain. You may feel the contractions of transition, the stretching of your faith, and the pressure of birthing something greater than yourself.

Just like Mary, God wants to impregnate you with divine purpose, but you must come into His presence. Intimacy with Him through prayer, worship, and obedience is where He reveals the blueprint for your destiny.

Your gift will make room for you. His wisdom will guide you. His provision is already prepared. You are in the birthing process—don’t give up now! PUSH!

Tag someone who needs this encouragement! Drop a ‘I’m birthing purpose!’ in the comments if this spoke to you!

Good morning 🦋

One lesson I am learning in life is to not be in a rush for anything. What God has appointed for you will happen in due season.

My need to rush put me in a time and space where I was disobedient to God because I was in a rush‼️So God took that desire away! Will he give it back? Only time will tell. In the meantime, I have learned to walk in patience. Seeing it in a positive way rather than the negative aspect that I had.

Now I choose to relax, remain calm, breathe 🧘 then I ask myself a few questions:

✨What is the lesson God is trying to teach me in this moment?

✨What character is God removing or building inside of me in this situation?

✨Check my Emotions (Energy in motion), why I am upset, sad, disappointed, or angry…etc?

✨And last what are my intentions?

Taking the time to breathe and relax then ask the above questions keep me grounded. What are some of you techniques you use to stay grounded while you are waiting or respecting Gods timing?
