Full house last night at Foundations Clinic for Emerging Players PLUS Open Play. This class, designed for emerging beginners who want a great space to drill, fun people to hang drill with, and the best instructors in North GA! Kadin Pilz, Molly Young, Aiden Marcellus

Great night at Advanced Drills and Open Play with this fun group!

worked on the concepts of body positioning when returning serves.

Too many players casually hit the return back. We worked on drilling returns on purpose, with a design to set up the next shot. With these intentional tools we know our players will get better faster at Helen Indoor!

🚨Our Doubles Strategy Session last night was amazing! Kadin worked with the group on how to construct a point with a planned strategy and shot selection.

Kadin taught a really cool drill to reinforce this technique. Format of drill: You can’t score a point unless you have a successful serve, return, drop/drive, 4th shot block/drop, and 5th shot drop/dink.

So before a point got scored in our drill, you had to complete a rally with 5 points to practice effective point construction. Pretty cool drill! Hope to see everyone next week.

🃏 What is Pickleball Poker? ♦️♣️

Pickleball Poker is intended as a fun, social pickleball experience. Bring your friends and have some fun! Only $10 for 2 hours of play, and 3 people take home cash prizes!

Here's how it works:

When you come in, you're given a certain # of cards. As you score points in a round robin formatted game, you get more cards for every 3 points you score. Winners get 1 additional card.

The goal, get to 7 cards in your hand and put together the best poker hand you can in the 2 hours.

Real world example:

Ex) Kadin/Molly beat Jewel/Tony. 😃 11-8.

Kadin/Molly get 4 cards EACH to add to their total, Tony and Jewel get 2 cards. Once you have more than 7 cards, you MUST discard to stay at seven, and hopefully improving your hand.

At the end of the night, the INDIVIDUAL with the best hand wins. We offer 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Amount of cash depends on how many sign up. So sign up today for this fun event.
