This past Sunday the 9th, Hofstra Men's Rugby secured a perfect 4-0 record, with remarkable displays from both the A side and B side teams.

NSCRO salutes Hofstra University Rugby led by coach Rob Ploth for setting goals that go beyond the pitch. Here's what Coach Ploth just posted "Holding trophies is fantastic, and being voted all American is great. But that’s on the field stuff... what about the off field stuff? What are you doing to help the community, the culture, YOU?! This past weekend a bunch of players helped out with the special olympics. Speaking from the heart here; this stuff matters to me way more than any accolade you receive while playing, any trophy you’ll ever hold. There’s nothing quite like helping out your fellow man! I’m beyond proud of my club and my boys for doing such selfless acts of kindness. Hofstra Rugby is creating a new culture, a new community, and new family by these kind acts! So glad to be apart of this and seeing my boys make a difference in someone else’s life! THIS IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT! MMF!"

Hofstra Rugby kicks off for the Fall 2017 season this Saturday AT RPI. Be sure to check us out this season!

Over the weekend, the boys entered the Tri-State Conference 7s tournament and despite many setbacks, they came away with a 3rd place finish including a 50-0 romp of the host team Vassar College! Hofstra Rugby looks to build on the success as we get ready to host the Long Island Cup on April 15th. Be sure to come out and support the boys as they look to bring the Cup back to its rightful home!

Welcome back to Hofstra for the Spring Semester. The 2017 Spring season is quickly approaching! Practice will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 7-9pm on the Intramural Fields.

Following Sunday's 66-15 win over Marist, Hofstra has qualified for the league playoffs. Our opening round match will be versus William Paterson University Sunday October 23rd at 1pm.

The Tri-State Conference has selected our own Tayab Kirmani as the men's standout performer of the week for his play against RPI this past weekend. Congrats Tayab!
