Beech High School Cross Country & Track

We officially wrapped up the 2025 Cross Country season tonight with a wonderful night of reflection on a great season! Now some rest and then prep for Track begins.
Thank you to Travis and DeeAnna Midgett for joining us this evening to award 5 of our Seniors with the Coleman Midgett Award & Scholarship and thank you to the Everett’s and Stenzel’s for your continued support of the XC program! Couldn’t do it without you all!

It's race day, Buccaneers! This is the day we have been working towards all season. Join us as we cheer on our athletes as they compete against some of the top runners in the state and country at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis. Boys compete at 12:30 pm followed by the girls at 1:20pm. Go Bucs!! 🧡💙🧡💙

Throw back to last week when our team competed at the TSSAA D1 AAA Region 6 meet. These athletes crushed their PRs. We are so proud of them for their hard work and dedication to the team.

Congratulations to our Varsity Girls team who are your D1 Class AAA Region 6 Runners Up and to our Varsity Boys team who placed 4th in D1 Class AAAA Region 6. Both teams head to Memphis next week to compete at the State competition on Friday November 7th.

Congratulations to Paige Remillard for a great race on a super tough course. With this finish, Paige will be invited to attend the MSCCA banquet in November which will honor the top 24 runners in Class AAA. Way to go, Paige!!

Today, at the request of Coach Erica Howard, three of our runners (Paige, Lydia, and Avery) went and spoke to several members of the Beech Elementary School Cross Country Team. Our girls talked to the elementary runners about race strategies, and then “broke it down” with a Beech Bucs cheer. Coach Howard selflessly volunteer coaches with both the Beech Elementary and High School Cross Country Teams, and is a huge influence on young student development and interest in our school running sports in Shackle Island. A big “Thank you!” to Paige, Lydia, and Avery for your time and influence with this next generation of runners. Go Bucs!!
