It's hard to find the right words when a season you never wanted to end suddenly does.
Our Midway 12U All-Star journey came to a close at the Texas West State Tournament. While the outcome wasn't what we had dreamed of, it will never define this team.
This group of boys gave us a summer we'll never forget. They believed in each other, competed with heart, overcame challenges, celebrated victories, learned through adversity, and proudly wore "Midway" across their chests every single time they stepped onto the field.
From District Champions... to Section Champions... to representing our community on the state stage, these boys accomplished something truly special. They earned every opportunity through hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to one another.
To our coaches, thank you for the countless hours, patience, encouragement, and sacrifices you made for these players. To our families, sponsors, and the incredible Midway community, thank you for packing the stands, making the trips, sending messages of support, and reminding these boys that they were never playing alone.
Most of all, thank you to our players.
Thank you for giving everything you had. Thank you for playing for the teammate beside you. Thank you for representing Midway with pride, humility, and class. The scoreboard may say this journey has ended, but no one can take away the memories you've made, the friendships you've built, or the legacy you've left behind.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
