Carolina Thunder Stixx

The Carolina Thunder Stixx will be hosting Fall 2026 11U tryouts this Tuesday, June 9th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fairfield Community Church (1505 NC Hwy 62, High Point).

We are looking for dedicated players and families who value hard work, development, and being part of a competitive team environment. Our focus remains the same: teaching the game the right way while helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.

Player eligibility: Must not turn 12 before May 1, 2027.

Whether he’s making big plays on the baseball field, flying around the bases with his speed, or being the teammate everyone can count on, Cooper is the definition of kind, respectful, hardworking, and always willing to help others. Your character shines even brighter than your athletic ability, and that’s what makes you truly special.

A huge thank you to all of the new faces who joined us for our open workout. It was great to see so many players and families interested in what we're building with the Carolina Thunder Stixx.

One thing we've always valued is surrounding our program with quality families, and we were encouraged by the people we had the opportunity to meet tonight.

We do want to apologize to anyone who may have wanted to speak with the coaching staff after the workout. We had an in-house meeting immediately following the session and were not as available as we normally are.

This workout is intended for players and families who may be interested in learning more about our program and trying out for our team in June.

Not the ending we wanted, but still a good weekend for the boys.

Our Stixx went 3-1 and made it to the championship game before coming up short. The loss snapped a 7-game win streak, but we're proud of the way these kids continue to compete and represent our program.

We'll take what we can from this weekend, get back to practice, and keep working to get better.

Back to work.

The next chapter begins in June.

Open workouts and tryouts will be held in June as the Carolina Thunder Stixx prepare for the next season.

The second game didn't start the way we wanted. We got behind early and could have easily let things snowball, but the boys settled in and just kept playing baseball. One inning at a time, one at bat at a time, they chipped away and found a way to get it done.

It's easy to play when everything is going your way. We were proud of how they responded when it wasn't.

We're thankful for all the parents, family members, and supporters who spent their Saturday with us.

Time to get some rest. The show goes on tomorrow.

Thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, the packed snacks, scrubbing white baseball pants, and spending entire weekends sitting in folding chairs watching 10 year olds play baseball.

Thank you for being there after the tough losses, the big wins, and all the moments in between. The encouragement, patience, love, and sacrifices you give these boys every day matter more than you probably realize.

And thank you for somehow keeping up with everybody’s belts, socks, batting gloves, cups, and jerseys. 😂

We appreciate all that you do for your boys and for this team. Happy Mother’s Day!
