The Carolina Thunder Stixx finished up the weekend in Clemmons with a 3-1 record and a second place finish in the Gold Bracket!

Really proud of these boys and the effort they gave all weekend. Obviously, we would have loved to finish with a championship, but there’s nothing wrong with coming up a little short when you’ve given it your best. Plenty of positives to take away from this weekend and plenty to keep working on.

A big thank you to our coaches, parents, and families for everything you do to make weekends like this possible. We have a great group of boys and an equally great group of people supporting them. We certainly don’t take that for granted.

Proud of this team. We’ll keep working and look forward to the next one!

Early morning, cold temperatures, and a trip to Clemmons for some baseball. The boys came ready to play and finished the day 2-0!

Proud of this group and the way they continue to compete. Thankful for another Saturday at the ballpark with these boys and their families.

We head back tomorrow with more baseball to play and more work to do. Today was a good day, but we’re not finished yet.

GO COMPETE! ⚡️⚾️

Happy Birthday to our very own, #8 Kain Smith! Also known as “Lightning McQueen”. He’s a force on the base paths and catches bombs at centerfield. Don’t blink you may miss him! We hope you have a great birthday Kain!

Happy Birthday to Coach Eric! 🎉⚾️

Today we get to celebrate a great coach, a great friend, and a man who means a lot to our Thunder Stixx family. Eric is one of the most positive people you’ll ever meet, and his passion for baseball is matched only by how much he cares about the boys who play it.

Coach, thank you for your friendship, your leadership, and everything you do for our boys and our community. We’re fortunate to have you on our team and even more fortunate to call you a friend.

Hope you have a great birthday!

A fun weekend in Asheville for the Carolina Thunder Stixx!

The boys started the weekend strong with two wins on Saturday before battling through two tough losses on Sunday. The bats were working all weekend as the boys combined for 49 runs and 6 home runs.

While we’re proud of what they accomplished between the lines, we’re even more proud of how they represented the Stixx and their families throughout the trip. They carried themselves with class, competed hard, supported one another, and made some great memories together along the way.

Not every weekend ends with a trophy, but there was plenty to be proud of in Asheville. A lot of good baseball, a lot of learning experiences, and a lot of fun with a great group of kids and families.

We will get back to work with practice this week and prepare for another tournament on Friday!

Let’s go Stixx!
