Due to the coronavirus, I am now offering community-based online kids yoga classes through Zoom.
Children are missing the connection with their friends while spending time at home. Online videoconferencing offers the opportunity to connect with their peers while practicing secular yoga and mindfulness together. This could be great for a neighborhood group, a play group, a classroom at school, a girl scout group etc.
Please let me know if there is a group of 8 or more families that would like to schedule an hour long online yoga class. I am happy to extend their time for 20 minutes to talk with their peers after the yoga time is over. Children can use a yoga mat, a towel or just practice on the floor at home, no other props are needed. Each family will need access to a computer with internet access. I can customize a class to a particular theme if desired.
The yoga class will be play-based with simple breath exercises, movement, and relaxation time. My intention is to create a class that is fun, developmentally appropriate, and helps relieves the anxiety our culture is feeling now.
You can pay for a class through my website Mindfulness for Meg. I then will send you a Zoom invite for our agreed upon yoga time. Each class costs $12 per family. There is a sliding scale for extenuating circumstances.
