First batch of Alewives brined, boxed up ready for fishing. It is a lot of work but it’s worth it.

Another fun weekend of fishing in the books. Even with the evening trip cut short due to weather. Just a handful of trip left to finish out the season.

Another fantastic day on the water. We started out a little slower but we ground them out. Found some really great fish out deep. Ending 14-24 ish with some dandy’s mixed in.

Fishing has been good from 70-140 fow. Most of the effort comes to try and land these fish or keeping away from other fishing boats. Remember when setting up at the beginning of your trip, that boats won’t stay inside. They will normally start inside then move out as the day progresses and the bite changes. Setting up on the outside of another boat will only cause problems for that boat and for yourself....

7/12/2025 Fishing has been great the last week. Both morning and afternoon trips have produced lots of action. 70-90 fow is about as far as you need to go out right now. The fish are hungry and feisty. Spoons, meat and flies have all been working. It does seem that you do need the variety to keep the bite going. Riggers down 50-60 high divers back 120-150 low divers back 70-110....
