🎂 Today is my birthday! 🎉 This year, I’m celebrating by supporting my incredible friend Sarah Tambwe’s organization, Change your World Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). I know her personally, and she is truly one of the most beautiful and yselfless humans I’ve ever met.

Sarah, a war survivor, started this nonprofit at just 22 years old to provide shelter, food, and safety to women and children in the Republic of Congo. 💕

So happy to have finally met Deborah Bonello, author of 'Narcas'. She brings to light the ugly truth about women in narco-trafficking… yes, there is more beyond Pablo Escobar and El Chapo. Deborah's work closes the gap in this often overlooked area. Highly recommend this fantastic read to anyone in security and defense!

How wonderful to meet with my publisher and coaches Natasa and Stuart Denman, and fellow Florida authors! I feel so inspired and motivated! Some of us have already published, some have solid manuscripts (me!), and others are just starting… the writing journey is unique to each one of us, but we are doing it together. Time flew by… I was with my tribe. 🥰 ❤️🙏

Another successful day at the farms of Redland. We picked so many tomorrows and enjoyed the nature around us so much. I made fresh last sauce for days!! .

On this day, 25 years ago, I enlisted in the Air Force. What a flight!!! ✈️

Yesterday was my last day in the office (now, paperwork, medical, and terminal leave… 107 days until military retirement).

So blessed to spend my last effective days with my team (I even had a surprise goodbye at the end of my last official meeting), practice yoga in uniform at SOUTHCOM with , peers, and veterans from the Israel Defense Forces, and come home and rejoice with the family (thanks for the flowers!).

Transition back into civilian life feels a bit lonely and very overwhelming. I am so thankful to have people in my life who truly care. 🙏

When busy mami and daddy have a chance to hangout in the backyard and just catch up with one another. ❤️❤️.

Last week in Colombia, our team partnered with Colombia's Armed Forces, UN Women ( ), and the Colombia’s Presidential Office for Gender to unfold the very first “Gender Integration and Strategic Communications Course.” Congratulations to the 52 security and defense graduates who completed this inaugural course!

Live and love by example… Shaping their hearts and minds before these little birds fly on their own is the biggest honor of my life… … … 🐣🐣

There is nothing I love more than taking my little munchkins to the farmer’s market and see them interested in all kinds of vegetables and fruits. Little curious bites here and there of raw snap peas or other greens… it makes my day!
