Eka Pada Galavasana is an intense arm balance practice that requires the abdominal muscles, core muscles to be engaged, to help lift and balance the body on the folded leg. It challenges the arms and shoulders, slowly working on strengthening them, with practice.

-knee-to-ear pose, Karnapidasana is a rare yoga pose that literally does that, illustrating the principle of pratyahara. Pratyahara is described as the withdrawal of the senses, meaning shutting out external stimuli so you can turn your attention inward

karnapidasana is believed to activate the visuddha, manipura and svadisthana chakras. Stimulating these chakras through the pose is believed to have the following benefits:

-Visuddha purifies not only the body, but the psyche and mind.
-Manipura controls vitality and the balance of energy.
-Svadisthana fosters inner acceptance and promote focus and productivity.


Padma mayurasana is an intermediate to advanced arm-balancing posture that requires wrist, arm and shoulder strength, as well as body awareness and balance.

In this pose, the elbows are bent at 90 degrees and tucked under the hips, the upper arms are tucked into the sides of the chest and the palms are flat on the ground supporting the body's weight. The fingers point back toward the toes. The legs are raised off the ground and are crossed as in padmasana.

Dhyan yoga -Concentration and meditation are the royal roads to perfection. Concentration leads to meditation. Fix the mind on one object either within the body or without. Keep it there steadily for some time. This is concentration. You will have to practise this daily. Purify the mind first through the practice of right conduct and then take to the practice of concentration.
