From being unhappy with her body and health to now rocking a more vibrant life with baby in tow, member Kelsey from Orangetheory Stone Ridge says Orangetheory is the best fitness experience she’s had. Today we celebrate Nate and every who finds their fire after time in the service. “After about three years and not finding my true passion, I fell upon a coaching position at OTF La Costa in Carlsbad, CA. I knew as soon as I walked through the studio doors, I found [what I had been missing]. I was hooked, the workouts were fantastic, I saw positive changes in so many individuals, and I loved to come to work every single day. was my sanctuary. It truly changed my life. From the studio staff to the amazing members, I felt that bond I missed in the military.”

She collaborated with our fitness team to create the “Shot Clock” workout - a medicine ball workout that includes agility drills and some of Aliyah’s favorite go-to core exercises inspired by her training regimen.

Dora T from OTF Murfreesboro began her journey with Orangetheory in 2019 – it quickly became more than just a fitness class, but an extended family that gathered each morning before sunrise, the !
In 2021, Dora was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She began treatments – 6 rounds of hard chemo, double mastectomy, and now targeted treatments through January 2023. Dora shares, “Thankfully, my medical team understood my love of OTF and encouraged me to workout throughout chemo. Cancer is as much of a mental and emotional battle as it is physical! My 5am crew, along with the OTF coaches and staff encouraged me each step of the way. Some days after chemo and surgery were tough – but I never regretted a single workout. OTF allowed me to forget my diagnosis for an hour – to simply be "normal" and sweat alongside friends.”
As we observe month, we recognize people everywhere who like Dora teach us to keep moving and keep appreciating every moment of every day.

Time to up the pace — it’s a signature workout tomorrow! Tomorrow on the treads, it’s all you. vs. the clock. Every couple of minutes, your coach will call out a distance checkpoint. Each time one gets called, check yourself: Did you make it? If not, it means the finish line has caught you. Celebrate what you’ve done by logging your distance in the Challenge Tracker.

“You are entirely up to you.” What a fitting statement for Andre, an amputee with Type 1 diabetes who recently joined OTF Parker. 11 OTF workouts down and he continues to defy odds every day.
Andre lost his leg due to his Type 1 diabetes. At Orangetheory, his favorite coaches inspire him to improve his health and motivate him to achieve his goals. Now the impossible is possible. His body achieves what his mind believes.
More Life, for Andre, means these workouts help him live a better life with his diabetes on a day-to-day basis and keep his blood sugar and blood pressure healthy.
Who helped him get here? His daughter, a Sales Associate at OTF Parker, who encouraged him to take that first step. Now the OTF Parker studio is currently raising money to help him get the right equipment for his prosthetic leg. They are on a mission to help Andre continue to work out and keep himself healthy.

was single-handedly the most difficult but also the most rewarding challenge Tanya has ever done. This is her story. “My head coach came up to me after a class and wanted me to give it a try. She truly believed I could do it. I laughed at her. I thought she was crazy. I could barely run one mile, let alone run a 5k and AFTER a 2000m row AND 300 floor exercises.But I eventually caved and let her sign me up. I didn’t want to let her down. Once the first heat started, I was shocked to see the amount of support pouring out for everyone. People cheered EVERYONE on, whether they rowed, ran, walked, tried to hit a PR, or simply tried to finish. When someone got close to finishing their tread distance, they had a little entourage behind them cheering even louder to help them get through the finish line. They did that for every. Single. Person. I was almost excited (but still nervous) by the time it was my turn to go. I realized I would be the last one to finish. But it didn’t matter. It was Me vs. Me. I still had the support of everyone cheering me on, every row, rep, and step along the way. Something that still gives me chills to this day was my last 0.5 miles [on the tread]. I will never forget it. Ashley Barwick, one of the coaches at our studio who had already finished the DriTri, jumped back up on the tread next to me. We ran side by side through the finish line. Not only was the day I completely and wholeheartedly fell in love with , it was also the day I learned to believe in myself. I learned to never sell myself short. I CAN in fact do very hard things. I initially did it and kept going because someone else believed in me but now, I show up to every class, every benchmark, and sign myself up for every challenge because I finally have faith in myself. I truly believe that 🍊 DriTri is the reason for that.” 🧡💪
