‼️ 5U/6U ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️

We will be implementing a new game format for our 5U/6U players this Fall — and before anyone starts wondering what that means… don’t worry, we will explain!

Bayou Soccer Club has been selected as 1 of only 25 clubs nationwide to participate in the US Youth Soccer 2026–27 5U/6U Game Format Project Cohort.

The project is focused on creating a better developmental environment for our youngest players through:

⚽ More touches on the ball
⚽ More involvement in the game
⚽ More decision-making
⚽ More opportunities to score
⚽ Less standing around
⚽ More FUN

There will be some noticeable changes to how our youngest players play the game, but there is a lot of research and thought behind why these changes are being made.
