A client shared this with me today. Love it so much. Goes to show it’s never too late.
At 65, she struggled climbing stairs. Today, she’s one of the best senior powerlifters in the world | CNN Before retiring, Nora Langdon struggled to climb stairs while showing houses as a realtor. Just 16 years later, she became a world record-breaking professional powerlifter with no plans to stop. She shares her ongoing journey to gain unimaginable strength at an age when most lose it.

Some days the gym stoke’s just not there, but with a few tears, multiple expletives, and a whole lotta stubbornness, you still get it done.
I don’t usually train heavy lifting but am trying new things this year! Turns out core/bracing muscles fail first.
Also, I’m training at the new Five Oaks on Warson, come check it out!
This is 4x195lbs (no straps).

I try to avoid self-congratulatory posts, but I’m pretty stoked about this one…
As of today, I’ve closed all 3 of my fitness rings everyday for a year totaling 394 workouts and 464 hours of exercise!!
I love working out, but this was a push. Many workouts I really wasn’t feeling, workouts in crappy hotel fitness centers, late night yoga sessions, working around injuries and through colds, but there was always a love for movement and fitness and a commitment to making a choice everyday to promote my physical and mental health. ❤️
