I am excited to share the details on this upcoming collaboration with Nathalie, Nutrition Sessions LLC at the Chappell Hill Lavender Farm. We've put together a wonderful experiential mini-retreat in early April with a focus on brain health and longevity. We'd love for you to join us!

A calm spring morning designed for midlife brain health.

Many women reach midlife and begin noticing small shifts that are hard to explain.

Sleep may feel different. Energy can be less predictable. Focus sometimes takes a little more effort than it once did.

At the same time, many are watching parents age and quietly wondering what they can do now to support their own brain health in the years ahead.

That question is what inspired a new workshop I’m hosting with yoga therapist Nancy Martch of

On April 4, we’ll gather at for a small, relaxed morning called Rooted & Resilient: Brain Health Essentials.

We’ll begin with gentle yoga beside the lavender field, then spend time exploring simple daily rhythms that support brain vitality during midlife, along with a few tastings that bring those ideas to life.

The group will remain intentionally small so the experience stays relaxed and conversational.

If you can picture yourself enjoying a calm spring morning like this, you can reserve your place here:

Having trouble sleeping? Adding this delicious drink to your evening routine can help induce the relaxed state needed to get your zzzz.

Golden Milk

You may have heard of this traditional evening tonic; Golden Milk is known for its long list of health benefits which include anti-inflammatory properties, blood sugar regulation, bone support, and immune support.

Golden milk, also known as turmeric milk, is a creamy elixir in the evening if your appetite is light, or before going to bed. It is served warm, in a mug; its beautiful yellow color comes from the addition of turmeric. Black pepper boosts the bioavailability of turmeric's active ingredient, curcumin.

There are many recipes available. I just make mine from memory. Feel free to adjust as you wish.

Golden Milk

1 cup whole milk (cow's milk or plant milk)
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ginger
1 tsp coconut oil
Pinch of black pepper
Pinch of sea salt
Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Honey or Maple Syrup for sweetening (optional)

Warm the milk over medium-high heat until slightly steamy. Add the oil and remaining ingredients, except for the sweeteners. Whisk or blend until combined, then pour into a mug. Add sweetener if desired and enjoy!

Note: If the milk mixture is too heavy for you, use 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup water.
