Kathryn is a Licensed Associate Counselor with Arisa Health here in Northwest Arkansas. In addition to being a therapist, she’s a mom to a 10 year old son diagnosed with ADHD. She will share what she has learned about how to better navigate a child’s emotional swings.

Summer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has extensive experience working with a wide range of clients. The next ADHD-NWA meeting is just around the corner on Tuesday, May 16th at 7pm. This will be our last meeting before we break for summer. Our presenter is Tara Rocha, B.S. Ed, with BridgingApps, a program of Eater Seals Greater Houston. Tara is a Digital Learning Specialist. She will give examples of how to find and use apps to serve people with disabilities such as ADHD. I don’t know about you, but when it comes to technology I tend to have some anxiety in where to find reputable apps and how to apply the technology. In this presentation, we will learn how to access and use technology to assist ADHD symptoms. Tara will walk us through this process with a demonstration and several case scenarios. I am confident that we will all learn a lot!

Attention Parents: I am super excited about our speaker on Tuesday, April 18th, 7pm on Zoom! Kimberly Evans, LAC will speak to us about Parenthood: Stages of Children’s ADHD Diagnosis. Kimberly is a wealth of knowledge as a licensed counselor, former educator and school counselor. She is mother to five children ranging from 4-17 years old. Three of their kids are adopted from foster care and were exposed to drugs in utero. Kimberly has been diagnosed with ADHD as well.
