For the past four years, our members have proudly supported the Mack Champ Invitational—truly a member favorite. It’s an incredible experience to witness some of the best junior golfers from around the world compete at such a high level.

We don’t just volunteer, we learn. Watching these young athletes sharpens our own game, and they’re always generous enough to share a few tips with us too!

A heartfelt thank you to the Champ Foundation for creating a space where these talented young golfers especially brown kids, have the opportunity to compete and connect on a global stage.

Masters Sunday was nothing short of amazing! ⛳️
The back-to-back winner at the Masters Tournament had everyone cheering — truly a crowd favorite moment!

We kept the energy going with a raffle for Masters gear, a fun 50/50 drawing, and some friendly competition with Masters trivia. Plus, everyone got a chance to try on our new uniforms 👏🏽

And let’s talk about the food… straight out of Augusta’s playbook: Azalea cocktails, Pimento cheese, Chicken salad sandwiches, Pulled pork sliders. Great vibes, great company, and great golf!

Women on Par members are helping to make a difference!

Our 4-year partnership with Journey through 18 directed by LPGA-PGA professional Maulana Dotch, is celebrating three young girls who are making news this week, and it’s all possible because of strong family support, the leadership of Maulana Dotch, and dedicated volunteers like our members!

Chloe Magwe will be competing at the Drive, Chip & Putt Contest at the Masters, what an incredible stage!

Kay Cox served as cohost at Media Day for the Chevron Championship, poised and powerful!

Our graduating senior Reagan Fields has won the Region 3- 6A Championship and is headed to Regional play, let’s go!

We take volunteering for girls golf serious! The energy, time, and love we pour into volunteering for girls golf is as serious as our golf game! Our members are not just elevating their game, but we try to help grow the game for the next generation.

The Kendall Jackson Experience was truly inspiring! Some of our members have witnessed Kendall’s journey from The First Tee, to high school golf, her collegiate career at Howard University, and now the Professional Tour. Her story is proof that with strong support from parents, plus a village of family, friends and community golfers behind a young adult anything is possible. The opportunities are limitless! Now she is giving back to that same community.

Women on Par Golf Club HTX Nominated for Induction into the African American Golfers Hall of Fame

Houston, Texas — March 3, 2026 — Women on Par Golf Club, a Houston-based organization dedicated to support and empower women of color through golf education, has been nominated for induction into the prestigious African American Golfers Hall of Fame in recognition of its outstanding community service and impact on the growth of the game.

About Women on Par Golf Club HTX
Founded in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Women on Par was created as a safe and supportive space for women of color to learn how to play the game on the golf course after taking lessons. Our mission is to serve as a launch pad to help women and girls to execute golf fundamentals, teach etiquette and rules on the course. The organization focuses on growing the game while uplifting women and girls through confidence building, and access to opportunities in golf. The organization is especially known for its advocacy and volunteer efforts supporting junior golfers, high school golf programs, and collegiate women’s golf. We help to create access and opportunities for the next generation.

What began as a small group has grown into a thriving organization of more than 65 women committed to fellowship, fun, competition, mentorship, and service. “This nomination is not just an honor — it is a reflection of the heart, dedication, and persistence of our members,” said Dee Thompson, founder of Women on Par Golf Club. “Our goal has always been bigger than golf. We are building confidence, creating community, and opening doors for women and young girls who may not otherwise see themselves in this space.”

Women on Par was nominated by Maulana Dotch, General Manager of Hermann Park Golf Course for its volunteer commitment to junior golfers and its role in expanding the sport to women of color. The induction ceremony is scheduled for May 24 in West Palm Beach, Florida, where honorees from across the country will be recognized for their contributions to golf and the African American golfing community.
The organization extends its gratitude to its members, partners, volunteers, and supporters whose passion and service made this recognition possible.
