WHAT A GAME..WHAT A GAME..

Yesterday’s Old Birdz vs Spring Chickens Game delivered EXACTLY what everybody expected… PURE CINEMA on dirt!!

The OGs of the OLD BIRDZ said they were gon make us put some respect on their names and they stood on business and did just that!! They showed up(LATE,) but non the less rose to the challenge and walked away with a hard-fought 9-5 victory over the young, fast, energetic SPRING CHICKENZ. The Old Birdz showed and proved that they are still the Queens of T.W.E.R.K and if the yungins want that title, they gon have to take it. Old Birdz, yall did yall thang and yall deserve to talk yall shiii. BIG CONGRATULATIONS again on a much deserved victory!!

GAME RECAP:

The Spring Chickenz came out HOT and immediately put pressure on the veterans, jumping out to a 3-0 lead after the 1st inning with energy, speed, and fearless play....But the Old Birdz answered right back like seasoned vets do, and let them know that this was not about to be no cakewalk!! They exchanged blows for a couple of innings and it looked like it would be anybodys game. The End of 2nd — Tied 3-3..... End of 3rd — Tied 4-4, but from that point on, EXPERIENCE started showing up in real time.
The Old Birdz took a 5-4 lead after the 4th and then completely shifted the momentum in the 5th inning, exploding offensively and tightening up defensively to create separation and take control 9-4.
To their credit, the Spring Chickenz NEVER stopped fighting. They scratched another run across in the 7th and continued applying pressure, but the Old Birdz stayed composed, made their final defensive rotation, that sealed the deal and closed the door to secure the victory. When that last defensive group stepped out on the field in the bottom of the 8th, the whole park knew there would not be a comeback.

All in all, this game was EVERYTHING T.W.E.R.K was designed to be. Competitive, Strategic, Emotional, Entertaining, Unpredictable. 20-player rosters, 8 innings, No run rule, Mandatory defensive rotations meant every player mattered and both teams abided by every letter of the rules. Hats off to both coaches for achieving that task and BOTH teams showed exactly why the ladies of T.W.E.R.K continue to raise the bar for kickball culture in Houston and beyond.

Huge shoutout to all the players, coaches, every supporter, the MC, the food vendor, and last but definitely not least every fan that came out and made this experience special!! The energy in the park was DIFFERENT yesterday!! The bar for T.W.E.R.K has been raised.

This game has become a staple for T.W.E.R.K now and one thing is for sure…THIS WON’T BE THE LAST TIME these two teams see each other.

Happy Saturday T.W.E.R.K Family!!! For the past 11 Weeks the T.W.E.R.K and Blazeball Experience has been one of the most epic events in Houston Kickball History. Thus Sunday will be the grand finale and we are inviting the entire Houston Metroplex Kickball Family to come out and have a great time with us one last time before the summer!!!

🔥🔥WEEK 3 GAME OF THE WEEK🔥🔥
Week 3 is here and we already have a Clash of the Titans! #1 PRESSURE (4-0) will face #2 HIT SQUAD (4-0) and its about to be a SHOWDOWN!! This ain’t just a game…this is for a seat at the top of T.W.E.R.K mountaintop and early bragging rights on who is the true top team in the league!! Pressure has been putting belt to ass all season with 33 runs scored and only 5 runs allowed. They are running through teams like a freight train and are looking to steamroll Hit Squad tomorrow.

If you have been around T.W.E.R.K for the last year then you know that Hit Squad ain't no lil puppies. They some big dawgs and have been bullies of this Draft League from day one!! They have the #1 offense with 34 runs scored and put up runs faster than you can blink.

Something gotta give…and today something will give and when it does, THE WHOLE LEAGUE GON FEEL IT!! The best Defense vs the best Offense! Undefeated vs Undefeated!! #1 vs #2!! Somebody walking out still perfect and somebody will be taking their FIRST L!! If you bold, say it with your chest in the comments and let us know who will win. If you don't know, make sure you have a front row seat tomorrow!!! These two teams have a combined 8-0 record and haven't slowed down for nobody! Tomorrow will be no different as they go Head-to-Head!!

Yeah… it’s official. Pressure out here bringing that smoke and have already stamped themselves as the team to beat!! They're not just winning......they are putting belt to a$$!! After stomping on Big Kick Energy 8-2, they turned around and beat Chaotic Harmony 9-1. Only allowing 5 runs in 4 games while putting up 8 per game, they starting to look scary!! They're off to a great start and look like their having a blast!! Clear #1

2️⃣ Hit Squad (4-0) 34 PF / 26 PA
Power Score - 21

Still undefeated and still dangerous, Hit Squad is quietly racking up the wins. They currently have the #1 Offense, averaging just over 8 runs per game, but they are a lil shaky on defense. None the less, they have shown the ability to win close games, which really matters and could be a benefit by then being more "tested" when playoffs come and every game gets close. They had a great Week 2 beating Fineapples 8-5 and Prime Timers 7-5. Next Week's Showdown between them and Pressure is going to be must see tv!!

3️⃣ Big Kick Energy (2-2) 21 PF / 18 PA

This team is still legit despite the loss. They ran into a buzz saw and got chopped up by Pressure 8-2, but picked up a 6-0 win over Candy Paint Chaos by way of forfeit.
They can score and they definitely don't quit but they haven’t beaten a top team yet. Next week is their time to make a statement and see if their going to be one of the top 3 teams this season or will they be scrapping it out at the bottom for the next 5 weeks.

4️⃣ Prime Timers (2-2) ⬆️ 18 PF / 22 PA

Lowkey this was an impressive week for Prime Timerss. They beat a very good HTown Heat team 6-4 and lost a close one to Hit Squad 7-5. This team is better than their record and they're trending up. Like BKE, a good showing this week could set them into a solid top 4 team. Week 3 matters!!

5️⃣ Fineapples (1-3) ⬆️ 18 PF / 29 PA
Power Score - 10
Last Week's Rank: 8
This was a great for Fineapples!! They lost a hard fought battle to Hit Squad, then turned around and dominated HTown Heat 9-5. Their offense is showing new life but they still have to fix their defense. After Week 2, they're looking like the best 1-3 team out there. Can they build off of Week 2 momentum and continue trending up. We'll see Sunday.

6️⃣HTown Heat (1-3) ⬇️ 15 PF / 21 PA
Power Score: 9
Last Week's Rank: 4
Tough week for HTown Heat despite filling a couple of key roster spots with some good players. They lost to both Prime Timers and Fineapples which moved them from middle of the pack to the bottom tier. Still, it's too early to write them off, but they definitely need to bounce back next week!

7️⃣ Candy Paint Chaos (1-3)⬇️ 11 PF/21 PA
Power Score 8
Last Week's Rank: 7
Rough week due to having to take 2 forfeits. Dropping 2 games has put them in an early hole but with 5 weeks to go, there's plenty of time to get up out of there. Next week is a big opportunity for them to start ascending.

8️⃣ Chaotic Harmony (1-3)⬇️ 16 PF / 24 PA
Power Score - 6

This team is really playing with fire. After getting their first win by way of forfeit, they got annihilated by Pressure, only scoring 1 point. Fact is, this team has yet to win a game on the field. As stated last week, if it's one team that can "take the Regular Season off" and show up on playoff day, it's them, but at some point you gotta want to see yourself beat some teams. This roster includes 6 of Last year's back to back champs so expectations were high. Week 3 is going to tell th e story on this season because it doesn't look like playing possum will work this year.

!! People's Choice Game of the Week!!!!

Happy Saturday T.W.E.R.K Family!! The votes are in and your People's Choice Game of the Week will be Fineapples vs Pressure at 5:30pm on the Grass Field!!

The Coaches for Fineapples are Jarrell Davenport, David Murchison and Ced Davenport. Fineapples will be led by their 2 outstanding Captains Dani Si and Ashton Poledore who will lead their new team into battle vs their former team and coach from last year's Draft Season.

Team Pressure coached by Alex Murphy and Dennis Laurent are looking to start the season off with a big win over a potential top contender. Pressure is led by their Captain and Back2Back T.W.E.R.K Draft League #1 overall pick Erika Wood Speers and Captain Giana Robinson.

These coaches have been going at it for months about what they were gonna do to each other when they met on the field so now its time to PUT UP or SHUT UP!! Both teams are well built and led by some of the best ladies in the women's gane so we expect to see fireworks as they set the tone for this season's Games of the Week.

Our 2026 T.W.E.R.K Draft Season is only a few days away and we all are super excited to get back to the field and watch you all battle it out in Houston's premier Women's kickball league!! I hope you all are ready because after all the hype and anticipation, the wait is finally over!!!

As many of you may already know, we have partnered with Blazeball Association of Kickball to bring the entire Kickball community the most amazing kickball experience ever, featuring both Coed and Women's kickball on the same day at the same location!! Unfortunately, due to last week's rainout, I want to inform you all that for THIS WEEK ONLY, all start times for T.W.E.R.K have been pushed back by 1 hour. I would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but we are hoping that this won't be an issue for any of you and we have the greatest opening day that Houston Kickball has ever seen!!

As always, there will be music, fun and good vibes. We will also have two food vendors on site serving delicious, affordable priced food as well as our very own Tiffany Bookie Johnson serving up that delicious Plush Lemonade that we all love. We ask that you all please continue to support our vendors as they help make this a one-stop shop.
