Michigan is 3-2, has lost two straight games, and now needs a defensive rescue mission! Enter Jeremiah Earby. Wolverines fans, please welcome your newest emergency contact!
The former Boise State defensive back has committed to Michigan after receiving court approval to play one final college football season.
Earby brings serious experience. At Boise State, he recorded 94 tackles, five interceptions, and 16 pass deflections over two seasons. He also earned All-Mountain West Second Team honors.
Meanwhile, Michigan just lost 20-14 to Minnesota. And head coach Kyle Whittingham called this the biggest challenge of his career.
Translation? The Wolverines’ season is giving him more headaches than a double-overtime thriller!
Whittingham also said the team’s performances were unacceptable and hinted that roster and coaching changes could be coming. Ouch! That’s coach-speak for, “Somebody’s job security just entered the transfer portal!”
Michigan still has seven regular-season games left, but Indiana, Oregon, UCLA, and rival Ohio State are waiting.
Earby could give the defense a much-needed boost. But one defensive back can’t magically fix every problem. Michigan needs a team-wide turnaround, not just a new name on the roster!
