KP Ranch

Well, it took 5 days of hunting over two weekends but we finally closed the deal on this beautiful and wide mainframe 8pt at the KP. Mindy Helm held steady and dropped the hammer on this very elusive buck. He weighed 192 lbs, 4.5 YO, had a 25” inside spread and 13 scoreable points — with a total score of 156 5/8 B&C. The sad thing is he had two droptines that he broke off fighting. What a great weekend with the Helms! Congratulations!

Another happy customer at the KP Ranch. After several days of trying to find this particular buck, we got lucky at the crack of dawn this morning and caught him chasing some does. Matt Helm was dialed in and dropped him in his tracks. He’s 6.5 years old, 178 lbs live weight with a 28.5” neck and he gross scored 176 and 2/8 B&C. He’s been fighting and broke a brow tine and a few other points —-with them he would have gone mid 180’s. Congrats Matt!

We’ve got a good crop of 8pt bucks at the KP Ranch that need to be culled this year. If you are interested in a cull buck/doe combo, message me and let’s talk. These 8’s would make great father-daughter/son hunts for those looking to get a first buck for their kiddo. We are booking hunts right now, we are MLD so our rifle season is open.
