Come test your CrossFit total to kickoff our new Strength Program!

Total Strength is a supplemental strength training program designed to accompany your existing CrossFit training. In this program, we will focus on building capacity specifically in the CrossFit Total: Strict Press, Back Squat, and Deadlift. Your score of combined weights in each of these movements represents a measurable indication of what your total capacity is at a given point in time. By working in strength elements that further develop muscle groups that address each of these lifts, you should be able to measure progress over time. As a group, the Total Strength program will test your individual capacity in the CrossFit Total every 3 months to measure progress in these elements.

Your membership in the Total Strength program offers you two days of accessory programming per week as well as unlimited "Key Member" access to the gym. This means you may train at any time in accordance with your schedule, regardless of gym class times. To ensure the program further accommodates schedules, movements will alternate weekly between an upper body and lower body focus.

Workouts will be posted weekly in Wodify and movements will include methodologies known to CrossFit and fitness in general, but not regularly included in your daily programming. Sample movements include: heavy sled push, push up variations, jumping weighted squat, and single arm DB chest press.

Additionally, a program administrator will be present during regular Open Gym times, Sundays from 1 - 2:30pm. This time slot will be host to the quarterly testing event, although you are welcome to train at any time.

Your access to this program is available for $50/ month as an add on to your CFMH membership though Wodify. We are excited to see your results and, as always, happy to answer any questions!

CFMH is excited to launch our first accessory strength training program, Total Strength, starting Nov 1!!!

CrossFit is an amazing training methodology which focuses on increasing fitness over a broad range of disciplines. By following a CrossFit program, you will get stronger, faster, and fitter. Because of the broad range of implements your standard program addresses, there are opportunities beyond these to build strength and capacity in more specific elements.
