10UAA Houston Hawks Tryouts are here!!! Monday, June 8, at 6PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cypress. We will be based in Cypress, Tomball, and Klein.
We are looking for players who will be 10u next season, meaning they will be no older 10 years old on April 30th of 2027. We are looking for players who are just coming from league ball and looking to make that jump to select, or players and families who may be tired of playing the corporate baseball team scramble every year. We are one age group, one team, and a coach who will move up with the team. I have been doing this since 2006 and have successfully moved four teams from AA level and lower to players ready for high school, each team lasting about five years. I currently have nine players from our last team playing at high schools across NW Houston, five from the team before that playing in college, and one from way back in 2009 who is currently playing in the Mexican League. We are looking for players who want to work hard to improve. We are looking for families willing to put in the time to get them there. If you are looking for a coach who knows how to teach a 10-year-old player, someone who has proven successful at helping kids get better without yelling, screaming, or cussing, and someone who creates a family atmosphere for the whole team, we are what you have been looking for. After 18 months, the Houston Hawks are back! We will be starting a brand new 10U team this fall. Not an organization, not a blue, red, and gold team. Not AAA, not Major, not trying to get "exposure". Just one AA team, one coach, and the goal of playing high school baseball. I have been doing this for twenty years and know how to get your AA/league ball 10u player ready to be competitive at the next level. I just coach one team at a time, and I follow them up by age group. If you are new to select, or have been playing a couple of years and are tired of corporate youth baseball - The Hawks are the team for you. We will need players born after May 1, 2016 who are ready to work hard to start that journey. We will be centered in Tomball so players from Katy to Magnolia to Klein are welcome to join us. Just gauging interest right now. Looking to start back up the in fall(August) with a 10U developmental team that would run through 12u. Not looking for AAA players. Looking for league ball and AA kids who want an opportunity to work hard and get better and parents willing to support them through good and bad. We will practice in Cypress.
