Christmas Day Run The Woodlands 5K is tomorrow at 8 a.m. at Barbara Bush Elementary in The Woodlands!

reports that Jon Walk will be heading up Run The Woodlands 5K on Christmas Day at 8 a.m. for Luke's Locker (thanks to Mike Lucas and Mick Long)! 29 people ran the last time RTW was held on Christmas Day in 2004!

reminds everyone of this morning's Run The Woodlands 5K, which begins at 8 a.m. at Barbara Bush Elementary. The $1 5K is put on the second and fourth Saturday of each month by Luke's Locker. As of Wednesday, however, Luke's reported that there would be no Christmas Day RTW.

A simple, but well-run race by Willis HS XC coach Dana Fossmo that moves back to December - Saturday, the 18th - is the 5th annual Willis Wildkat 5K Fun Run, which is held at Lynn Lucas Middle School in Willis. (The online registration link is below.)

Two events that we do not have dates for yet are the BMI 5K Fun Run in Conroe and the Founder's Day 5K in Splendora. They were held in April and May, respectively, this year.

2011 will be upon us soon and Friends of the Running Community - once again - is ready to help promote and publicize all road races in Montgomery County this spring. Our hope is that you'll readily support as many of these events as you possibly can!
