Welcome back, Tommy Sustala — Head Coach of 18 Elite!🔥

Coach Tommy returns for his second year leading our 18 Elite team, bringing 10 years of club coaching experience and 3 years at the High School Varsity level. Throughout his coaching career, he has coached or assisted on 10 OPEN-qualified teams, helping athletes compete at the highest levels of club volleyball.

He is also entering his second year coaching school volleyball at The Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart and recently added a 🥉 Bronze Medal at the 2026 USAV Nationals to his accomplishments.

We can’t wait to have Coach Claire Jeter join our 18’s as their new assistant coach!

We’re excited to have Coach Tommy & Claire with our 18 Elites and can’t wait to see the growth, competitiveness, and success this team will achieve together for their last season! 💙🔥

Introducing Jeff Ham — Head Coach of 17 Elite, HJV Assistant Director, and Training Director! 🔥🏐

With an incredible 29 years of club coaching experience and 10 years at the collegiate level, Coach Jeff brings elite-level knowledge, leadership, and passion to every athlete he coaches. His impact on the game speaks volumes, having helped guide 25 teams to Nationals — including 16 teams competing in the highly competitive OPEN division.

His championship resume is nothing short of remarkable:

He will be assisted by Coach Rachel Stallman 💪🏼

Introducing Tara Cross-Battle — Head Coach of 16 Elite! 🔥🏐

With 21 years of coaching experience and one of the most accomplished volleyball careers in the sport, Coach Tara brings world-class leadership, knowledge, and competitive excellence to our 16 Elite program.

Her incredible career includes:
🥉 Member of the 1992 USA Olympic Bronze Medal Team
🌎 14 Years on the USA Women’s National Team
🏐 4x Olympian — 1992, 1996, 2000 & 2004
🏛️ 2014 International Volleyball Hall of Fame Inductee
🌍 9-Year Professional Volleyball Career
Her collegiate accomplishments are equally legendary:

Continuing as Head Coach of 15 Elite, Lauren Rhodes! 🔥🏐

Coach Lauren brings years of elite-level coaching experience, championship success, and a deep passion for developing athletes at the highest level. Having coached alongside Jeff Ham for 7 years with 17 Elite, she has been part of many incredible national-level accomplishments.

Her coaching achievements include:
🏆 17 USA National Champions (2017)
🏆 14 Elite National Champions (2016)
🥈 17 Open National Runner-Up (2016)
🥉 14 American National Bronze Medalists (2017)
🏅 17 National Champions (2014)

Coach Lauren has been coaching since she was just 19 years old while attending college, bringing years of dedication, knowledge, and leadership to the game. She also played collegiately at University of Houston.

She will be assisted by Mr. Felipe Coronel.

We’re excited for our 15 Elite athletes to compete, grow, and chase big goals under Coach Lauren’s & Coach Felipe’s leadership this season! 💙🔥

Introducing Coach Kris — Head Coach of 13 Elite! 🔥🏐

With 20+ years of coaching experience, Coach Kris brings a championship mindset, high-level playing experience, and a passion for athlete development to our 13 Elite team. His background spans both elite coaching and collegiate competition, giving athletes the opportunity to learn from someone who truly understands the game at every level.

His accomplishments include:
🏆 USAV National Championship Coach
🏆 TAPPS State Championship Coach
🥈 2018 SPC Championship Runner-Up
🥈 2002 NAIA National Championship Runner-Up as a player

Coach Kris also served as a Graduate Assistant at Houston Christian University and played collegiately at Missouri Baptist University.

Our 13 Elite Assistant Coach is Mr. Chris Bell 💪🏼

We’re excited for our 13 Elite athletes to grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game under their leadership this season! 💙🔥

We are excited to announce Sue Schelfhout as the 12 Elite Head Coach for the upcoming season! 🔥🏐

Coach Schelfhout previously led our 11 National team for the past two years and brings more than 30 years of coaching experience to the gym.

A former captain of the University of Texas Volleyball team, Coach Schelfhout earned All-American honors in 1988 while helping lead the Longhorns to a National Championship that same season. She has dedicated her career to developing athletes both on and off the court and currently serves as the Women’s Athletic Director at Second Baptist School in Houston.

She will be assisted by Ms. Josie Schelfhout.

We are thrilled to have their leadership, experience, and passion guiding 12 Elite this season! 🙌🏼

Introducing our 11 Elite Coach! 🔥🏐

With 21 years of coaching experience and success at every level of the game, she brings an incredible passion for developing athletes both on and off the court. Most recently coaching 10s, she knows exactly how to build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for competition from the ground up.

Her resume speaks for itself — a 3x USAV National Champion Coach, leading teams to national titles at the 14’s, 15’s, and 17’s levels. 🏆🏆🏆
