2013 RCS Sports Hoops giving Classic
1. FT WORTH RICHLAND 83 CYPRESS LAKES 79 (2 OT)
Cy Lakes vs Dallas Richland This game was exciting because it went to 2 overtimes. Dallas Richland wins 83-79. De’aaron Fox had a good showing. Good excitement for the first game of the afternoon. Cy-Lakes: De’aaron Fox 27p (10/24fg, 3/10trey, 4/5fg) 14r 5b 4s 4a, Nick Garth 25p (7/20fg, 4/14trey, 7/9ft)

2. ATASCOCITA 78 KINKAID 56
Kinkaid vs Atascocita was a great matchup between Oklahoma State Commit Joe Burton and Unsigned Senior Jeff Roberson. Both got it going early. Joe Burton knocking down shots and Jeff Roberson driving to the basketball. The supporting cast of Joe Burton was just better that day. Kinkaid had too many turnovers and Atascocita capitalized on their opportunities. Joe Burton finished with 25pts and Matt Willrodt with 10pts almost everyone else on Atascocita’s squad scored. Kinkaid on the other hand got 23 points from Jeff Roberson, 11 points from Sam Mays and 11 points from Thomas Dillion. They had 5 other players with a zero on their point stat line. You can’t win ball games like that. Atascocita wins 78-56. Atascocita: Joe Burton 25p (7/12fg, 5/6trey, 6/6ft) 5r, Matt Willrodt 10p (5/5fg) Kinkaid: Jeff Roberson 23p (6/14fg, 1/5trey, 10/11ft) 8r, Thomas Dillon 11p (4/9fg, 0/3trey, 3/3ft), Sam Mays 11p (4/7fg, 1/3trey, 2/2ft)

3. BEAUMONT OZEN 70 FORT BEND BUSH 60
Beaumont Ozen vs Bush Basketball is supposed to be a team game. There is NO “I” in TEAM but Beaumont Ozen was dealing with Cal-State Bakersfield Commit BJ Jones who was carrying his team by himself. He was unstoppable bullying his way to the basket with several and 1’s plays. He was like Batman but no Robin emerged to play the sidekick role. I guess the big lights burn too bright from some players. When players on teams are dubbed up and coming players they must bring their A++ game to get recognition. The Hunter brothers wasted no time in getting the job done. Jared played great defense and distributed the ball well while younger brother New Mexico commit Jordan Hunter was making jump shots all over the court. Can you say “Make it Rain”? Beaumont Ozen wins easily 77-60. Beaumont Ozen: Jordan Hunter 28p (10/17fg, 6/10trey, 2/2ft), Joshua Boyd 14p (4/8fg, 3/5trey, 3/5ft) 5a 4s, Demasters Sam 14p (6/12fg, 0/1trey, 2/5ft) 6r Bellaire: Jarren Greenwood 11p (4/11fg, 1/1trey, 2/2ft), Leonard Pradia 11p (4/6fg, 2/3trey, 1/2ft), Christian James 10p (3/12fg, 2/4trey, 2/2ft) 10r

4. BEAUMONT CENTRAL 57 BELLAIRE 47
Beaumont Central vs Bellaire The Battle of two 2015 Houston Stars Christian James and E’torrian Wilridge. E’torrian lead his team to victory and he got a lot of help from Jacory Guillory who was raining three point shots all over the court. Jacory Guillory 19p (6/11fg, 6/8trey, 1/2ft) 4s, E’Torrion Wilridge 17p (6/10fg, 1/3trey, 4/5ft) 10r 4b

5. HCYA 85 SECOND BAPTIST 81
HCYA vs Second Baptist While Roy Williams from UNC sat courtside for the blazing scoring of UNC commit Justin Jackson. Jackson is an efficient scorer who can do it all. At the high school level he is good as they come. He showed his versatility all night. He was hitting jump shots, posting up, shooting floaters and blocking shots. He scored at will and he does not waste a lot of movement. I like the junior guard JJ Decker. He can flat out score. He is athletic to the rim and he can get his shot when he wants. He also has a consistent jump shot. When he gets it going he can fill it up. Elijah Lee was solid at the point guard position. I like his basketball IQ and this point guard skills. He has to improve on his jump shot. Justin Jackson finished the night with 38pts, 10r; JJ Decker 18pts, 4r; Elijah Lee 13pts, 5a. Ty Dalton for Second Baptist shot the ball extremely will. He scored in bunches with a lot great finishes at the basket and some long range three point shots. Dalton finished with 32 points and Alex Leavell had 16pts for Second Baptist. HCYA wins 85-81 HCYA: Justin Jackson 38 (14/20fg, 1/2trey, 9/10ft) 10r 3b, JJ Decker 18 (8/13fg, 2/5trey, 0/1ft), Elijah Lee 13p (4/12fg, 3/5trey, 2/2ft) 5a Second Baptist: Ty Dalton 32p (14/22fg, 2/5trey, 2/5ft) 7r 3s, Dillon Grimes 21p (6/14fg, 3/6trey, 6/6ft), Alex Leavell 16p (7/8fg, 1/1trey, 1/2ft) 9r

6. DALLAS PRIME PREP 46 HOUSTON ST JOHN’s 30
The most anticipated matchup of the night was supposed to be Justice Winslow and St. John vs Emmanuel Mudiay and Prime Prep. It was very boring to say the least. The game was slow and low points scored in the quarters. Our expectations was too high on this game. It did not live up to expectations. Prime Prep: Micah Seaborn 8p (3/8fg, 2/6trey, 0/2ft), Deshawn Williams 8p (3/5fg, 2/4trey) St. John: Justise Winslow 13p (3/9fg, 2/6trey, 5/7ft) 10r

7. HOUSTON YATES 96 DALLAS TRIPLE A ACADEMY 83
With University of Houston in the building watching this game. JC Washington once again proved why he is good division 1player. His motor is second to none. He displays a toughness that you can’t teach. He is efficient around the basket shooting a high percentage and monster on the boards. He also got decent production from Melvin Swift, Lorenzo Phillips and Jacob Young. Yates: JC Washington 29p (13/18fg, 1/1trey, 2/2ft) 15r 3b, Lorenzo Phillips 15p (5/13fg, 5/11trey), Melvin Swift 12p (5/6fg, 2/4ft) 6r, Jacob Young 12p (5/14fg, 2/2ft), DJ Lewis 11p (5/16fg, 1/8trey)Triple A Academy: King McClure 25p (10/21fg, 2/10trey, 3/7ft), Tyler Singleton 17p (5/7fg, 7/8ft) 9r, Jeremiah Jefferson 16p (6/14fg, 0/3trey, 4/7ft), Harrison Henderson 10p (3/10fg, 0/2trey, 4/8ft) 11r 3b
