🚗⚽ THE RIDE HOME
As the season kicks off for so many of our teams, we want to remind our families about one of the most important parts of game day.
The ride home.
As a club, we’re committed to developing players for the long term—not judging their development by one game, one result, one mistake or one weekend.
There will be great games. Tough games. Big wins. Frustrating losses. Missed chances, mistakes and moments our players wish they could have back.
That’s part of development.
Our coaches will coach.
Our training environment will teach.
The game itself will provide plenty of lessons.
Parents, your role is different—and incredibly important.
When your player gets in the car, they don't need another film session. They don't need every mistake analyzed or their performance compared to a teammate’s.
Sometimes the best thing you can say is simply:
❤️ “I loved watching you play today.”
Then talk about dinner. Turn up the music. Laugh. Let them breathe.
We want players who are confident enough to take risks, resilient enough to make mistakes and excited enough to come back to training ready to improve.
That takes coaches, players AND parents pulling in the same direction.
Development is a process. The result is only one moment in it.
So this season, let's make the ride home part of the positive environment we’re building together.
